Are there any applicants out there planning on attending TWU in the spring? My application is in and I am a nervous wreck. I'm not worried about getting in, but freaking out about the first semester. Pathophysiology AND Pharmacology seem like two very time-consuming classes to take in addition to three nursing classes. Although I have good study habits, this makes me a little nervous. Does anyone have words of encouragement/discouragment???
Only those classes you specifically need for the nursing degree count towards your GPA. They do not count your elective or any other extra classes toward your acceptance GPA. They usually take the same amount of people for both Fall and Spring start. Hope this helps!
so they SAY...but they even counted that religion class in my GPA when I applied for graduate school....and I had other multicultural classes so it wasn't like I needed it for that.
It depends on who does them I think

I used Biology as my elective and it did not count. I wanted it too because I had an A. Did they maybe use your Religion class as your multicultural requirement? Just a thought!
I think it does depend on who actually reviews your transcript. We actually have 2 people in our class who had like a 3.4 and got in while the cut-off was 3.70. Still trying to figure that out!
I had PLENTY of other multicultural courses - I was an Art major for awhile at a school that specialized in hispanic art in particular. I also had courses in philosophy, sociology and art history, as well as forgeign language. Why they took that religion course I have NO idea - they did take my basic biology course though. They transferred two semesters of non-algebra business math as well, but not my business management course.
There just doesn't really seem to be any rhyme or reason to their methods some days.
Funny - I had a semester of dental materials in a past life and while they have dental hygiene program there with a course in dental materials - that one didn't transfer - go figure!
