TWU Dallas Fall 2014 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

This is for students applying to TWU Dallas for Fall 2014 :)

Hey guys! I noticed that there wasn't a Fall 2014 page yet... Probably because its not for another year but I thought I would start one!

I'm currently attending North Central Texas College and I'm about to start my last semester of required prereqs, and I'm taking a CNA class this fall!

I've attended an open house at TWU Denton & Dallas; I absolutely love the campus and the staff seems so friendly! I'm really excited to attend TWU. Hopefully I'll be in Dallas for the nursing program, but if life does not take me in that direction--I'll make my way for a Physical Therapy degree!

I'm sooo excited to start nursing classes and spend time in the hospitals. I'm on this website all the time and I hope there are some people on here applying the same time as me so we can support each other :-)

Tell me about yourself!

Specializes in IMCU, Oncology.

I live in Argyle, near the Denton campus. I am applying to NCTC first and then hopefully bridging, as that gives me the opportunity to do clinicals in hospitals where I hope to work. If for some reason that doesn't work out, I am going to study to excel at the TEAVs and hopefully get into TWU.

Good luck to you to SweetiePie26.

NCTC is great and all the teachers are so helpful. Thats a good idea!

Yes I'm also applying to Tech's nursing program as well!& ha Thankyou I hope so. What about you? Where all are you applying to?

I have all first attempts.

A= A&P 1,2, General BIOL 1

B= MicroBIOL, General BIOL 2, psychology 1,2 , nutrition

I am worried about TEAS score... so bad.

Wish I can take it again and replace score.

I know that there are very few nursing schools in Dallas.

West Coast University, TWU, Arlington.... what else???

I am very surprised you guys started a forum for fall already! haha I was in your position a couple months ago. I applied for spring 2014 and I just got my acceptance letter last month. I want to tell you don't feel discouraged and just apply. I made in with 4/4 4.0GPA 71% teas and a bachelor degree from UH. I am not sure if you have a first degree or not, but the more preferences you have the better. I know several people made in TWU with low TEAS score, but they all had the 4/4 pref and high gpa. Let me know if you need any other info, I am happy to help.

What about a 3.75 gpa and two out of the four first attempts.

I made an A in AP2 lecture but C in ap2 lab so I guess that makes it a B?

You can check out spring 2014 applicant forum and see the stats of people who made in. I know a student made on waiting list with 2/4 pref 3.8 gpa and 96 on teas. I was pretty surprised. I felt like this year admission was a bit easier than the previous. Good luck!

Hey guys, can anyone let me know which book to study for the TEAS test? I'm gonna apply to TWU next year. Thank you! :)

Has anyone taken their TEAS yet? I'm signed up for 1/20. I bought the ATI study manual and online practice exams. I took one practice exam already, I highly recommend it if you're considering buying them. The results are very well broken down as to what you need to work on. I haven't taken the second online practice exam, I'm trying to wait until a little closer to the test date. There are also two practice exams in the study manual but I haven't done those yet either.

Anyone taking Patho this Spring? I'm taking it in Dallas, just curious if I'll have any other applicants joining me :).

I am registered to take Patho this Spring at the Dallas campus. :)

Just took my TEAS this weekend and am very happy with my score. Used the ATI study guide and read through the science and skimmed the rest. Good luck!

Hi KNicole1202, I am also planning on taking Patho this spring at Dallas. I am done with pre-reqs and taking the Teas5 exam on the 11th on Jan. Will put together my application right after Im done studying for the exam. I went down to campus and was really impressed. Also, I picked up the patho packet/textbook combo today as well. Im a second degree student but I only have a 3.75 now, and really hope I get in on the first try. Would love to talk with you.

Congratulations on the TEAS exam. I am prepping now with the ATI guide. Im planning on spending the next 8 days solid going through it. Any advice?
