Hello all!! Just wanted to start this feed for people apply for the August 2018 group to keep people posted on interviews and admissions! Hope everything is going great for everyone! :)
I applied to Alabama and just got an e mail to watch a video and answer a video questionnaire! It says the video will tell me more about admissions, the process, and interview. I am at work now but I will watch it tomorrow and let yall know any interesting details I have! Anyone else get this video e mail???
I had a bad feeling about that, I chose my third site for DFW just incase, and did choose that I was willing to go to others. Hoping for the best at this point, but I defiantly don't feel good about it.
It definitely increases your chances since you are willing to relocate. Stay positive.
Hello all! So exciting to see that so many are starting to get their notifications! I received an email on Monday for a Skype, FaceTime, or phone interview. I chose FaceTime and the interview has been scheduled for Monday the 30th at 10 am. The email didn't specify what location I'll be interviewing for, but I applied to all DFW sites so I'm assuming (and hoping) that I will be interviewing for a DFW location. I noticed that there were a few people on here that have already had phone interviews, and from what I read they seemed to be pretty laid back. I'm so extremely nervous, so I'm hoping my FaceTime interview will be casual and laid back as well as I've heard the face-to-face interviews can be pretty intense.
To those who have not received any type of notification, I know that it's hard not to worry/stress but don't loose hope! A friend of mine that is currently in the program did not receive her interview email until the week of Thanksgiving and did not actually interview until January. So, there is still plenty of time!
Good luck to you all!
Hi all!
Just finished watching that video.
key points I took away from it
Basically them telling us about the program and that its 12 months studying and then 16 month clinicals.
The stuff i was most curious about was that interviews are based on clinical knowledge and personality. they will ask you clinical stuff and its ok to not know all the answers. they said they want to see your thought process and how you think and if you can make good judgment calls and stuff like that.
if you are at a site that is NOT DFW, expect a phone call shortly after interviews are done for the site from the clinical coordinator if you are accepted. DFW sites will be notified two weeks after interviews by e mail. Also, interviews may be group or individual ( I know DFW last year did group interviews with 3-4 other applicants). they did not say anything about WHEN DFW site interviews would be sent out.
let me know if yall have specific questions! :) hope this helps!
again, any more alabama peeps?! btfly and i connected and would love to meet yall in bama if yall are going to interview! :) PM me!
All of the sites I applied for were DFW. My phone interview offer did not specify what sites it was for so I am just assuming it is for DFW, I did say that I was willing to go anywhere though. I'm excited but hoping the phone interviews are as laid back as people from other sites say. The waiting is the hardest part! Good luck to everyone!
