is it true?

is it true that after you repeat a science class twice you have to wait for seven years to take the class again so it will be taken off of your transcript?

Every class you ever take will be on your transcript, forever.

Some specific schools may have academic forgiveness programs, typically "forgetting" ALL classes over 10 years in age, but this is institution dependent.

Sounds more like an arrest record and not transcripts.

Or negative credit report.

I took human anatomy twice and failed it. I was told that I had to wait 7 years untill i could start over and take the class

Your school might do it that way, most don't. Also, I would check what your school means by "starting over." From what most schools do, I think it is likely yours doesn't take the first two attempts off your record. They just don't let you retake a third time until the sciences expire anyway. They can't really say a student can't retake them when they don't count them after x number of years no matter what the grade was.

For what it is worth, both of my schools would count the failed classes even if your current school didn't.

Sometimes you can get a grade dropped or forgiven if it is a certain number of years old. Have you looked into transferring to another school?

well, when do science credits expire in tennessee?

It doesn't go by state, it goes by school.

I believe once it is on your transcript it will be there forever.

Most schools have a rule like that. At my school, we had to maintain at least a C average (a C- was the equivalent to an F). If we failed a class twice, we would get kicked out and would not be able to reapply for 5 years.

The state of Texas only allows you to retake a class twice, ever, for credit/grade.

Math and science age out of consideration after 7 years but still remain on the transcript and part of GPA.

This is not necessarily true. It depends on the state.
