Hi guys! I just wanted to start this for anyone who applied to the Tristar hospitals in Nashville, TN for their nurse residency program. I know the applications are open for a really long time period, so I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how long the process takes once you apply. Good luck to everyone in their searches!!
I have an interview at Skyline on the 29th and Centennial the 30th but now that I think of it, they weren't specific what units they were for. I emailed Laura Rich about it because I put ciritical care and ED as my top 2 so hopefully that's what they're for!
If you hear back from Laura will you let us know what she said?:)
I have decided to go a different way and accept a position in the critical care track at St. Thomas Midtown! Good luck to everyone with their job searches and interviews. Has anyone else been offered positions at St. Thomas? I made another thread called St. Thomas Nashville Nurse Residency Program 2018 for anyone that would like to join.
Laura Rich said for Skyline "all candidates regardless of preferred track will be interviewed by representatives from various clinical areas" and for Centennial we will be interviewed by 2 managers that may or may not be from our preferred area based on the managers' availability but we may still be considered for our preferred track. So she didn't really say whether or not they were full.
The people I know that were offered positions at centennial heard back after their interview within a week. After the interview, they tell you that they will contact you within ten business days to tell you if you have an offer or not. The managers interviewing you are not necessarily from the departments you applied for. They put you into groups that rotate through, and you can either start with the peer interview, nurse managers interview, or the tour of the facility.
