Tracing a drop of blood...

Published

We have to do a trace question as part of A&P2 midterm and I am freaking out! I am having such a problem memorizing all the veins and arteries and I can't imagine how I will be able to do this trace question without any references. Does anyone have any advice or tips? Any help is appreciated!

Good day, nhunt:

Do you mean trace one drop of blood or do you mean trace the path one drop of blood takes through the body?

Thank you.

I remember that assignment in A&P2. The only way I could truly "memorize" the path was by learning the heart and it's valves and the 4 compartments and the lungs and remembering that veins and arteries are opposite when going from heart to lung and back. I had to learn it all so I could think it through during the exam. Other people simply can memorize the path.

Trace the path of a drop of blood from say the distal colon to the cerebellum for example.

Thank you. Maybe I'm freaking out for no reason. I have the flow of the heart and lungs down and I guess the rest will come.

Good day, nhunt:

Yes, the rest will come. There are three (3) circulatory systems: cardiac, systemic, pulmonary. Pick one to conquer, conquer it, move on to the next; you can do it.

Thank you.

I did not do well on that in A&P II so I made it my mission to learn it!! It came in handy in Advanced Physiology this pass semester and I aced it. It's worth learning it.

I've been watching anatomy zone on youtube in the hopes of making it sink in. I'm taking AP2 online which is making it much more difficult than I anticipated so any additional sources help!

What do you have so far? Maybe we can help guide you from there. :)

Have you checked Lumen Learn 'em ? Arteries

From head: Internal / external Jugular Vein->subclavian Vein......1st dorsal metatarsal Vein.....

I left out about 38 steps if that helps.

The trace question is part of our midterm and we don't know where it will begin or end. I've been practicing all day and I've gotten better at it. I'm just burnt out lol

I'll definitely check out the website thanks!
