My story:)
Take your time. I was on last semester then did too much at once. My 4.0 GPA dropped over .4 points from 2 classes I passed On the bright side the raise your GPA calculator says I can get it up to 3.99 if I maintain a 4.0 for the next 1366.2 credits.

How do I remember algebraic equations?
Search Algebralab . Under Topic drop-down select quadratic equations then click search. Pretty good instructions. Direct to the point. I've tried Kahn but could never understand their dialect enough to understand their lessons.

Retaking the TEAS
Great post :) Be careful when purchasing the Very Recommended ATI online tests. The two tests do not change questions, even when purchasing them again. I would recommend 1 test version for Each ATI attempt. Don't just read the reading section. Write down all Terms and draw a box around it, then write an explanation in your Own words, underlining the important information. I went from a 69% to a 100% doing this. Look for shortcuts on ALL math items in the ATI book. Was the mathematics author aware this is a timed test? (:

College: Do I Have a Chance with My Grades?
Your college GPA will be the same as the High school students who had a 4.0 GPA in Highs school. 0.0 college GPA. Taking remedial classes will delay your progress, but may make it an overall more successful one. Comparing yourself to others leads to unhappiness.

Almost done
When your sitting in the room taking your TEAS test you will be thankful you completed your prerequisites.

Rejected
Good Luck! Rejection only counts after you have given up. One of the most famous home runs in baseball was when Babe Ruth struck out twice then pointed his bat to a direction followed by a home run hit to that same direction.

2nd degree BSN worth it?
This is my take on it. You have zero nursing degrees. Previous Bachelor's can offer you advantage of accelerated BSN route if previous Bachelor's degree has stellar GPA. If not so good GPA, you can have advantage of transferring 60-90 credits from previous degree towards traditional BSN degree. Think of it as multiple degrees, not second degree; independant but accumulated. Welcome to Allnurses and good luck on your research. :)

Intro to Chem and Math Background
If you did stats, you should have no problem. Stats was about understanding what formula is used and how to apply it. Chemistry math is similar. Both stats and chemistry allow calculators. Check out youtube. There's tons of guys and gals making videos. The trick is to find one that makes sense to you.

Microbiology
Go to the tutor lab for the science department several hours a week. Read your book there. Pick their brains on difficult concepts. Have them do the same. Science classes may curve individual tests but final grades usually remain unchanged. If you get a 92.996% you may try arguing for a 93.

Working while in school
This is not a what if scenario. You already did this and the results were failure. Is your academic record worth trial #2 in the name of science? If a baby falls out the 3rd floor window and says he's OK, should more follow and expect same results? Offer to put the expenses on a spreadsheet to be paid back after graduation. This will demonstrate you are taking ownership of those expenses.

Why should I become an rn instead of a pa?
Enough comments here to write a lengthy compare/contrast essay, thesis included. All that's missing is the conclusion.

Nursing and the Ebola Virus
CDC's explanation for no travel ban was because preventing the collapse of the government in the host nation is more important than the medical welfare of every other nation? Then why are they upset when someone here gets the Ebola virus. Is that not the lesser of their two evils?
