Is A&P 2 more difficult than A&P 1?
In II this term, I think its way more difficult. I've heard from multiple people that III is the easiest.

How do you find support while you're still applying to nursing school?
Ood I 💖 you ☺. Your comment gave me a warm fuzzy. OP, what are you looking for support wise? I don't have any family really either, also I've always had that sense of being on the outside looking in, I'm betting you feel that too. I've sort of embraced it, made peace with it. Try to surround yourself with a support system. I will be your friend 😄

Ignoring your education?
I have friends who are into that colloidal silver... Also I've been to an Essential Oil party, was told that they can cure viruses 😑 I am not even in nursing school yet, but I am pretty sure that is not going to work. That being said, I think the ritual of administering oils can be helpful in healing. Also I am so into the smells.

Applying to nursing school this year... is a baby a terrible idea?
@Horseshoe thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I appreciate your POV and you giving me more to chew on. @girlafraid13 I am detecting a bit of sarcasm 😜 look, I can appreciate that it must look like I am in some way trying to make what is already hard more then arduous... I just wanted to see if there were others in my position, others who've made this work. Ah I wish I could go back and either have all my children earlier, or have gone through nursing school much earlier, but I can't. Have to play the hand I've got. 😎

Applying to nursing school this year... is a baby a terrible idea?
So... I just turned 33. My husband and I were hoping to be done having babies by 35. We currently have a 13 year old daughter and a two year old son. We would both very much like another baby before we are too old. Our son is watched by my best friend while I am in school. We pay her. She is an amazing 'Auntie' and is fully willing to take on a brand new baby to care for while I am in school. She has a two year old as well as a three month old and is planning two more children in the next few years. My questions is... is it ridiculous of me to consider adding to our family while in nursing school? Is there anyone out there with experience having babies while in the program? I want to get my RN, I don't want to take a year off... Tell me your thoughts.

10/7 This week in PreRN I learned...
This week I learned... Taking A&P II and Mth 95 together is a lot like riding a teeter-todder. Two year olds just want to make flash cards with you. Theirs seem more fun. Balancing social\family\school takes sacrifice. Try not to let that sacrifice be 3hrs of sleep! Dirty pnumonics for cranial nerves stick way better than clean ones. 13 year olds do not have attention to detail when cleaning the kitchen.

Should Our Study Group Allow a Failing Student to Join?
Yes that's a rough position. I agree with pecas... But I feel for the leech. She prolly has no idea that her study habits are going to fail her out eventually

When confidentiality isn't quite the same
I've always thought the secrecy here in the states about medical status and issues is kind of odd. I think we're stuck in this bubble thinking that we should all have privacy... but if no one had privacy about medical issues then we would all have to deal with lifes ills as a villiage. I think the fear is that people would discriminate against people of certain medical status? I feel like everyone's glasshouse would be in display... in a perfect world no one would throw stones

Heavily Burdened
Oh hunnie... I am in the same boat. Just finishing up my prereqs and I have a 12 year old and an almost 2 year old. I have SEVERE mommy guild about putting him in daycare or asking his sister to watch him, and I do struggle a lot. My daughter's teacher actually said some really inspiring things to me at her last parent/teacher conference. She knows that I am headed to nursing school and she picked up on my mommy guild. She assured me that the things that us student and working mother's are teaching our children are so valuable. They see us studying, doing hard to work and sacrificing. Time together becomes less quantity, but more quality. I know that's hard to see right now, but it will pay off when we are professionals taking our kids to disneyland and paying for their college! As far as the finances... Money sucks. I don't know your particular situation, but I am so blessed to not have to work while I go to school. Some people have great success doing both, but I struggle in school and have to devote all my time in order to pull A's, so this is pretty much the only way it can work out for me. There are lots of ways to stretch money and food. I feel like if we had to go without now so that we could reap the rewards later, it would be totally worth it. I know it's hard. I know it sucks. But you CAN do this. You can be great! Please don't let the darkness pull you down. You got this.

Finally an RN after 12 years!
Thank you so much for posting this. I am in community college getting ready to apply to nursing school this fall and sometimes it gets really hard to stay positive. Nursing school admittance is *so* competitive and I constantly worry that I won't get in. Posts like yours keep my chin up. Thank you *hugs*
