I honestly think you will be just fine, just don't be a "repeat offender".....I seriously doubt you will accidentally not check in....you can't undo the past, just keep moving forward......I promise we can come out better for this rocky journey.....you will be an even better nurse, after completion of your monitoring program.
Ditto that! I live in DFW and was tested on a Saturday. It was very stressful as there was one lab about 30 min away only open between 10-2, and I was working a 12 that day. I was shocked and it messed up my whole floor for about an hour me having to go test. I pray every Saturday I am working to please not let me be tested!
Save yourself some stress. You can go to care now for weekend or holiday testing. It's approved. Bring your quest form. They send it to quest lab. You will have to pay them 15.00 though. This is only allowed on weekends or holidays. But, be sure and call that number for weekend testing first.. They seem to like to hit us 12 hour shift workers with weekend testing.

Okay so yesterday morning I totally forgot to do my daily check in. NEVER has this happened since I started TPAPN in September. My daughter was not feeling well the night before and we were up for quite some time during the night. We slept in that morning and I guess it threw me out of my routine. I do everything I should - I go to my meetings 4x a week , I check in daily, all of my drug screens are negative. I participate fully in my sobriety, having just hit 18 months on the 22nd of December. I emailed my TPAPN Case manager. I explained the situation to her. I PRAY she has some understanding. I know that there really are no excuses in this program but I have prayed so hard once I realized what I had NOT done. Has anyone ever missed a daily check in?
