Hello All!
I wanted to start a new thread for the Torrance Memorial Medical Center New Grad RN Versant Program that is to begin in February of 2014. Good luck to all who applied! Lets keep each other posted if we hear anything.
I think it went well. There were a few questions where I was like, uhhhh...so I'm hoping the rest makes up for it. Haha. Interview starts with the med math test (super easy, don't even need to know unit conversations), then interview with nurse recruiter, and lastly, panel interview with the program coordinator and several unit managers (usually a total of 4-5 interviewers). They're interviewing 40 candidates for 12 positions. They're interviewing a few next week, but I don't know if they've already called all the candidates they want. They said to not to expect a decision until sometime after the new year.
My interview went pretty much exactly the same as ADEcstatic. They told me the same time frame and amount of people being interviewed.
Thanks for the info ADEcstatic and cubanrob. Did they ask you in what specific unit you would like to work or did they just tell you for what unit they are considering you?
Are there going to be another round of interviews or are they making a decision only based upon this interview?
Was there a lot of situational questions???
Thank you so much
I'm not sure if they're having any more interviews. A friend had her first interview yesterday and both of us had our second interview today. Someone else I know has his second interview tomorrow. I think this time it's unit specific. From what I heard, they're hiring 5 med/surg, 5 critical care, & 2 ED.

Thank you, ryan07 and TooProudToMention! I don't remember being asked for a unit preference in the application. I think they ask you that during the interview. My interview is on Friday. I'll let you know if I find out more information. :)
