i took 75 questions on monday 3/29/05.
i am so scared. i feel like it's a 50/50 chance of passing. either yea, i'm too smart or that i'm too dumb that the computer gave up on me!!!
one more day and i will know the result.
i feel so nausea just thinking about it!

Try to stay calm and confident. I'm sure all is well. If you didn't pass the NCLEX this time around, it doesn't mean you're dumb because you stopped at 75. You went through long years of nursing school and passed, and it takes a soldier to get through that. But I wish you the best of luck. Just try to stay positive even though I know it's hard. You only have one more day!!!! :)

Don't beat yourself up. the nclex does not test how smart you are it tests how you apply the knowledge that you have learned. the way the test is designed you can know every bit of information on each of the subjects tested but the key to passing is knowing what they are asking you and how to apply it. It is not like when we were in school and the questions were straight forward, the nclex is designed to see if you can pull the needed information from what they are giving you.The nclex is based on an ivory tower world where every condition affects every person in the same way, but we all know that this is not the case. You cannot use the real world knowledge on the test. You take the infomation that they give you at face value. they give you a scenario and the hardest part is that there is no one correct answer, but you have to pick the best answer. just graduating from the RN program is a significant accomplishment. I flunked my first nclex exam and had to retake it and finally passed. My advice is to keep your confidence and know that you can do it, even if you have more than one attempt at it. Never give up.
I wish you the best of luck with your exam. keep me posted, and be proud of youself because you have accomplished alot. :chuckle

Hang in there. I took the test. Never looked at how many questions I answer. I was there maybe 45 minutes. Thats all I remember. I walked out totally dumbfounded. I PASSED! I waited 10 days for results. GOOD LUCK :wink2:
