Took NCLEX a week ago...no results!

Published

I would really like some advice. I took the NCLEX in California on Monday (12/15/14) and it's now Monday (12/22/14) and still no word on whether I passed or failed. I had 75 questions and felt fairly confident when I left the testing site. It's hard to feel like you definitely passed because the exam gives you some really strange questions with multiple answers that seem correct. It's also hard for me to believe that I did so terrible that the exam would shut off after only 75 questions. I tried the "Pearson Trick" multiple times (after day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4) and I continue to get the good pop-up "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I tried calling the BRN and they said that the amount of time it takes to get results isn't a reflection of whether or not you passed the exam. They also said that I need to wait another 3 weeks (1 month since I took the exam) and to call them if I haven't received my results by then. I'm going absolutely crazy. It's imperative that I get my license results soon because I have a job offer in CA that requires licensure. Is anyone experiencing something similar? Please give me your input! Does the "Pearson Trick" actually work? Is there anything I can do? I also want to take this opportunity to express how unhappy I am with the California BRN. It took more than 3 months to get my ATT and now I have waited a week with no NCLEX results. Also, CA doesn't offer "quick results." Man this sucks! Advice please!!!!

Hi. I know the pain! I took my nclex-rn last thursday (dec 18) and just found out today that I passed through the breeze website. Did you check there yet?

Congrats on passing!!! So you waited 4 days in CA to get your results? Haha I check breeze way too often...it's always on my mind. Did you do the Pearson trick?

I took my nclex on the 10th and I still have no results!! I keep getting the good pop up but I don't want to count on that as a pass. I don't know why its taking so long for my results to post :arghh:

yes california, took it thurs and checked breeze like every minute over the weekend lol. as soon as i woke up today, i checked breeze :D my aunt took nclex-pn and her results took longer.

honestly, i cried a lot over the weekend because i was so anxious so i just kept praying :D

oh i didnt do the pearson vue trick

Thanks for replying to my thread jig1031. Glad to know i'm not the only person experiencing the frustrating wait. I really hope you hear something soon...2 weeks to get your results would be crazy. Did you take the NCLEX in CA?

You're very lucky RN4Jesus22. I really can't fathom why it takes so long to post results for some people and for others they get their results in less than 48 hours. I finished the exam in 75 questions. It should be a clear-cut pass or fail. Maybe you can say a prayer for me :) Congratulations again! Good luck in the job hunt. I know Northridge hospital has a new grad application open :)

Hi Pearson Vue trick works. Absolutely no doubt. My entire class did it and not one false positive or negative. I know one person who waited 29 days for results. I know horrible but she went the full ride 265. The only way people say it doesn't work is when the don't do it right. Like not putting in their cc info and hitting submit. Let me congratulate you I don't doubt with that pop up anything other than you passed!

True. However, another equally-common error is playing the trick too early, before BOTH sets of scores are finalized. MOST of the time, the two scores match, so someone who did the PVT an hour after completing it (with only ONE scoring done) finds that it's the same result two days later. But that's only based on the average situation in which both scores DO match.

Anyone trying the PVT before a full 24 hours has passed absolutely does run the risk of finding that they either passed (and initially thought they failed--AND threw $200 out the window) or failed (and they initially thought they passed--huge bummer).

Too much of the time I see people who post that they did the PVT immediately after finishing their test, they have no idea that there's a very real chance that the second score ISN'T the same as the first, and they announce "it works after only an hour!!" or something like that. And.....it doesn't.

It's hard to except that the Pearson trick works (even when done properly) when you take the NCLEX on the same day as a classmate and she gets her results within 48 hours, and here I am 8 days later with no results. I appreciate the comments Gizelle22...I know you're trying to ease my concerns. Unfortunately, I can't wait 29 days from the date I took the exam to get my results. I officially have "13 days" or I lose my spot in a new graduate RN program in Los Angeles. Send good vibes into the universe for me.

Oh I'm so going to send you good vibes and I am actually going to light a candle for you. (My family does that for important things) it's so hard I Cali it takes forever sometimes but on average a week maybe 2. Keep us posted.
