Took NCLEX today, worried...

Published

Hello everyone!! I stumbled upon your website tonight as I stare at the computer hoping it will tell me good news. I took the test today and I have a bad feeling. The computer shut off at 76 questions and I can't get rid of this burning sensation in my stomach. I keep telling myself that since it turned off it could be a good sign, but there were hardly any questions that I answered that I felt good about.

I am driving myself crazy. As I read everyone posts I am now convincing myself that I probably didn't read questions well enough and maybe I missed more of the choice all that apply questions. I only remember one!! I can't stand the waiting.

Calgon take it away. I don't know how I will get through work tomorrow. Everyone is going to ask and they are waiting for me to pass so I can start to really work!!!! I want to go into a patient's room and say, Hello, I will be your NURSE today!!!!!!!!!

It must be really tough for you now, to wait..

First, welcome to allnurses! :) Bookmark us and visit often! :redlight:

The waiting for the results is what seems to be the worst, even more so than the panic leading up to taking the test. I wish you the best of luck and good vibes that you passed. I'll be in your situation next week, and I'm not looking forward to the anxiety! LOL

I want to go into a patient's room and say, Hello, I will be your NURSE today!!!!!!!!!

I can so relate... :)

Good luck to you! I am sure you did fine! I only had 75 questions when I tested. But had the same feelings you are having now! Keep us posted!

Hello everyone. I took the NCLEX today, and the computer shut off at 75 questions. I was hoping for this, but now I'm concerned. I don't feel that confident about my answers, there was sooo much who would you call/see first, a lot of check all that apply. Those are not my strong areas. It always came down to two that were soooo very close. I'm thinking could I have been doing that bad to have it cut off at 75 and fail, but I also don't feel like I was doing well enough for it to cut off at 75. I want to be hopeful, but I don't want to be soooo disappointed if I find out I didn't pass.

I'm a single mom, I have to provide for my child, I start my job on Monday. If I don't pass this will really turn my life upside down. I know everyone wants to pass. I'm just venting. Sorry.

A woman at the center said that sometimes results are available through QuickResults in 24 hours. I can't wait until tomorrow morning.

Good luck to everyone.

I wanted to thank everyone for their best wishes and send my best wishes to everyone in limbo either before the test of after the test. I am still waiting on pins and needles!!

I just wanted to let you and everyone else know that is waiting for results, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! I was in your shoes 2 days ago, and found out I passed. I was in a little different situation though, I had ALL 265 questions thrown at me. What an experience, definitely one I will NEVER forget. The next few days will be tough, try to do something fun, with friends or family. Anything to distract you. Best Wishes & let us know.

If those of you who have just taken NCLEX will look at every page on this site you will see numerous posts "just took NCLEX really worried". :o My point is that everyone, including me, who takes the NCLEX is really worried whether the computer turned off at 75, 85, 150, or 265. Everyone just needs to relax and wait for the results. Don't start worrying until you find out that you didn't pass. It looks like to me that 99.9% of the grads who post here come back several days later to say "I passed" !!!! Were all very happy for you because were been there and we understand but please try not to panic until it's time

I want to go into a patient's room and say, Hello, I will be your NURSE today!!!!!!!!!

you will be a NURSE..:)

keep us posted.
