Took the NCLEX today

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took the NCLEX RN this morning and it shut off at 75. I didn't get ANY math calculation questions!! Is that normal?? Anyone else not get any? OMG! I am so nervous I could puke. I have no idea how I did. The questions were NOT easy. Any chance my "quick results" could be ready before monday? The wait is surely going to kill me.

Are we the same person? That's my exact story. I also took the NCLEX today, it shut off at 75 and I didn't have any math questions. However, all of my questions were multiple choice...which leads me to believe I failed. That and, I thought I did horribly. And I agree...the questions were NOT easy. Instead of being nervous, I am downright depressed.

Hello, I'm going to give that the both of you passed and you do the same.:) Can't stress out over what's already done.

As I told Runrgrl, this is not a test where you come out and feel like you've aced it. And the questions get progressively harder and harder. That way the computer determines your level and gives you either a pass or fail. If you are in a quick results state, from what I understand, the weekend doesn't matter. The results will be available 48 hours after you took the test, sometimes an hour earlier but mostly on time.

Good luck! Think positive and keep us posted!

Runrgrl, mine were all mutiple choice too. It seemed like most of them were prioritization questions as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. GOOD LUCK!

To BabyRN2Be and BlessedbyGod: thank you for the support! It's much appreciated.

I really hope that weekend thing is true. It would be GREAT to know by sunday!

no math questions i would think are low level questions. i did not get any math question and passed at 75. only a couple check all type. priority questions are higher level questions. best wishes to you.

I only got 2 math questions and about 3 - 4 select all that apply.

One of the math questions was a titrating question and the other was amount of fluid intake on a child.

I stopped at 75 and passed as well.

It's a nice thought to see that I can relate to you all who's waiting for their results. I took the NCLEX Tues. the 4th. I can tell you it was difficult for me considering I work the 3rd shift and on my day off Monday night, I didn't sleep until 5am only to be awaken at 8am. I was tossing and turning OMG! it was unbelieveable. I hated it. Coffee kept me up during the test. I answered 84 questions, then I was offered to take a break to which I clicked yes. Came back and answered one question, and the computer shut off. No calculations mostly client teaching. Yes, it was really hard questions, but the hardest part is waiting for the results. I didn't know whether I really wanted to check it and regret it, or just leave it. It was so damn depressing I wish they can change it to finding out right after. Anyways, I passed. ......I hope everyone passes too.

hey Boopchick

I completely understand where you are coming from. I suggest using distraction techniques. look at the nursing job section and imagine being paid those big bucks since Mass. is one of the highest paid in the nation, for nursing. Smiles. We wish you good luck, keep us posted.

Thankyou all for your kind words! Everyone is so supportive! :) I am unfortunately in one of those "slow" states, so I won't find out my results until like 30 days right? Grrr!!!!

I passed the NCLEX and didn't get any math questions or fill-in-the-blanks. I'm sure that you passed. Some 90% of people ONLY getting the minimum 75 questions pass.

I forgot it was Columbus Day on Monday. Does that mean waiting yet another day? I hope not! :uhoh21:
