  1. Actually, I did :) After graduating nursing school I went directly to the ICU. Ended up being diagnosed with lymphoma 1 month after that so only got through 2 weeks on the floor and then had to do almost a year of chemo. Decided when I came back to do something less physical than ICU and went directly to an infusion center. I absolutely ADORE it. Good luck to the original poster! To each their own. I was always taught to go through med-surg and get your experience but I completely disagree. 80% of my classmates (BSN) went on to specialities.
  2. I PASSED!!!! Yay...there is hope for all..... Thanks for everyone's encouraging comments!
  3. I know what ya mean!! Everytime I think of a question I had on the test I go running to my nursing textbooks to check to see if I was right about it. *groan*
  4. Funny thing is that everytime someone asks me what question number my test shut off at I say 75. Truth is...I have no idea!!! I don't even remember seeing where the # was listed. Once I finished the test a woman asked me what number I stopped at and I replied that I had no idea. She said the numbers were at the bottom left of the screen!!! How stupid do I feel? haha. I guess I could always use the excuse I was too focused!! Anyway - most of my questions were priority. It felt like all of them were!!! Alot of the questions were also about standard precautions, contact precautions, etc..
  5. Thankyou all for your kind words! Everyone is so supportive! :) I am unfortunately in one of those "slow" states, so I won't find out my results until like 30 days right? Grrr!!!!
  6. Hi everyone - new to this forum! :) I took the NCLEX-RN this morning and did not get ANY alternate OR math questions! It was strictly multiple choice! Can I take that as a sign I definitely failed? (aside from the fact that I know I failed) Thanks!
  7. Are we the same person? That's my exact story. I also took the NCLEX today, it shut off at 75 and I didn't have any math questions. However, all of my questions were multiple choice...which leads me to believe I failed. That and, I thought I did horribly. And I agree...the questions were NOT easy. Instead of being nervous, I am downright depressed.
  8. Hello all! My name is Kristin and I am currently a senior, graduating in August, in a BSN nursing program. I have always had an interest in Psych nursing but I have been told by many of my nursing instructors that there is not as much opportunity available in this field (as far as climbing the ladder and burning out). I also am afraid that if I go into Psych nursing, that I will lose my nursing "skills" so to speak (medical). Any suggestions from Psych nurses would be greatly appreciated! Take care, Kristin
