Took NCLEX today with 75 questions! What does that mean? I think I flunked.

I just took the NCLEX today in CA and I was in there for about

1 3/4 hours and it shut off at 75 questions. I got a few pick all that apple, a few calculations, some mass casualty, but very few Pharm questions. I studied my butt off since Christmas for this test and did Kaplan. Doing the Kaplan Question Trainer questions at my own computer really simulated how the NCLEX works (font was the same too!). Anyway, Kapln helps a lot, so take it if you can (some hospitals where I live will now pay for Kaplan for you and Kaplan gives you a money back guarantee if you fail the test). I did Lippincott and Saunders questions and they helped. I did ATI in my RN program and it told me both times that I have a 98-99% chance of passing. I scored above 65% on all of the Kaplan practice tests and passed the Readiness exam at the Kaplan center when I took it a few weeks ago. But, when I was in there, it kinda hit me that THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE DAY YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! But, it was still a shock to be actually sitting for boards today.

I also had lots of trouble sleeping last night, which was sucky, since I got a nice, quiet hotel room so I could sleep in and rest. Haa! That didn't happen, I was so nervous and kept waking up with my stomach in knots (even after taking 2 Tylenol PM's to sleep easy). Anyway, I walked out of there smiling and happy it was over, but now I'm really doubting myself. I looked up the answers to the questions I remembered. My friends that took it in 75 questions all passed, but I think I'll be in the small percentage that failed at 75. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I passed at 75 questions and am ecstatic! I think 75 is a good thing...everyone I've talked to that had 75Q have passed...

Congrats lolo1636...good luck in you future endeavors.

So what was the result? Did you pass?

So I took my test this morning. Shut off at 75. I was a great student, but i got a good few straight forward content questions wrong. And got a LOT of select all that apply...which I suck at.

I am freaking out. Trying not to have a full blown panic attack! I was in the same realm as many of my friends who too Kaplan in terms of scores, and they all passed in 75...but I just feel like I got easier questions that i should have known! I will be so embaressed if I fail. I am such an overachiever!

Took my NCLEX today and I am sooo worried about it. 75 questions. Pray for me! Thanks

Here's hoping that abbykay gets the same good news as the OP!

Everyone I know who took it and only got 75 questions passed. I am sure you did a great job.

Did you pass in July?

Take the pearson vue trick. There is a post on how to find out whether or not you passed. It seems to be true.

So, I took my test yesturday. 75 questions is when the computer shut off and I was dying on the inside. Basically begging the thing to come back on to give me another chance. Obviously that didn't happen. So now I am waiting.... I did the PVT and I got the good pop up, which is great, but it really doesn't mean anything to me. Should know by tomorrow...... GOING NUTS TILL THEN!:sstrs:
