  1. I'm sure you did!!! I'm a bit of a skeptic too, even though I should know better. I mean I read over 400 posts about it the first time and again this time, all saying it's true. Not to mention it worked for me before in that it let me register and I sure enough failed. This time I have the pop up, so I'm hoping my name will be on the board's website early tomorrow morning!! I'll let you know!
  2. From reading other posts, I believe the hold post doesn't mean anything either way. Keep trying until you get one of 2 things. 1. You get to the page where you can enter your credit card # = Fail or 2. You get the pop-up that says this "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." = Pass Here's what I found on another thread: VERY IMPORTANT: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the Credit Card information page, that means you did not pass.
  3. OK, thank you for the information. Well, here's hoping they have everything they need and I know by tomorrow I took the NCLEX-RN once before in July and I failed at 75?s. I did the trick then, and I was able to go all the way to the cc page. Now, that I've gotten the pop-up I'm a little optimistic but, I still won't be completely calm until I see my name on the BRN website. Can't wait!!
  4. I took the test yesterday. Stopped after 105?s. I did the trick when I got home and got the pop-up. It's easing some of my stress, but I still won't be happy until I see my name on the BRN website. I'm in California. Are any of you in CA? Do you know the soonest I would be able to see my name online if I took it yesterday? Is it tomorrow or Thursday? Thanks, and congrats to all who've passed!!!
  5. I hope I am a miracle like KTRN29, but I'm not holding my breath... Does anyone know if I failed, will my name automatically be taken off the IP lest on the BRN? I'm in CA. I took my test on 7/7, still no results. I called BRN today, they said they have my transcripts but my results aren't processed yet. Which is weird b/c I know ppl who took it the same day as me and their results posted Friday, 7/10. Is there still a chance I passed? I had 75 ?s mostly prioritizing and teaching, 2 calcs, 2 SATAs, I think???? Something like that. I got the CC page when I tried the trick so I already accepted failure until today I had an incling of hope b/c my friend said that they would have taken my IP off the web if I had failed. I'm still on there and b/c of what the guy from the BRN said "your results haven't processed yet." I believe in miracles, and I believe in God. Do you think I stand a chance or should I give up hope?
  6. Thanks. You're very kind. I hope to be the ONE that says it's not true, but I'm not that hopeful. I'll just continue to pray. It's in God's hands and only he has any power over this. Thanks again for your kind words =)
  7. I did Kaplan, reviewed Saunders, used another 'Prioritization, Delegation, Assignment' practice question book....I felt like crap when my computer shut off at 75 but I got home and read some allnurses posts and many people said they felt the same way when they finished. I felt optimistic b/c it seemed I was getting many of the same questions as those who passed: Prioritizing, teaching, etc. I only got 2 SATA, 2 calculations and few meds. But, then I found this stupid thread about "the pearson vue trick" and I did it and got the credit card page. Now I feel horrible!!!! I want to have an incling of hope b/c it's not official, but I haven't heard one person saying it was wrong!!!! What a freakin' bummer! I feel like such a loser!!!!
  8. I wish somebody would post they passed and got the darn CC page!!!!
  9. So NOT ANYBODY has ever gotten to the cc page and passed?
  10. I just took mine yesterday, and as I'm sure you all remember I'm in agony!! Congrats on passing! I'm so nervous b/c it shut off at 75 and I DO NOT feel confident. I felt like I didn't know anything, like I was guessing. I had mostly priority and teaching ?s, 2 SATA's, 2 calculations on gtts (which were so hard) Do you think I"ll know by Friday? Did you guys just go to the BRN website and search your name?
  11. How long should you wait to do the pearsonvue trick?
  12. Well, since we're on the subject I know the "CNL" is more abundant on the East coast and is fairly new here on the West. How has it been received? I know over here, there is a lot of experienced nurses who take issue with a "Non-Nurse" receiving a MSN. I think they believe we are going to be advanced practice nurses. I'm so torn between downplaying the degree (at least for the beginning of my career) b/c I feel it may intimidate other nurses and they won't want to help and teach me. Once I gain experience, it would be unfair to discount the degrees I have earned. What's your opinion on the role/program? (The generalist one)
  13. cyadontwannabeya Thank you for the advice and compassion. You're very sweet. rebtur4 Thank you also for the great advice and for sharing your story. Fortunately we're not dependent on my income, although we are looking forward to it My husband has been a teacher for 9 years and has a stable and secure income/career. My husband's employer also provides our insurance coverage. I hear you about the expenses of a child, and if I know me I'm certain I will go crazy with buying all the extras we probably really don't need I'm certain I will have difficulty leaving my baby, but hubby and I have a possible plan. We figure I'm most likely to work night shifts to begin as a new grad. My husband gets out of work at 1:15pm. We're thinking that the baby can always be with one of us because of our schedules. Plus we have great mothers and a near by sis that can help when necessary. What do you think? njbabyrn Thank you for that information. That's great to know. You're probably so right about advising to wait at least 6 months into the new job. I think I can handle that. That's not too long to wait. So you're a NICU nurse? How long? How do you like it? L&D and NICU are the units I'm considering, however so many advise to do at least one year of Med/Surg or Tele before specializing. But then again I hear there are so many New Grad programs for these units. What's your advice? As for the miscarriage the doc just told me that every pregnancy has a 1/5 chance of miscarriage and it's usually just to an abnormality in the embryo and it can't continue to develop. He reassured me that there's no reason to think I did anything wrong or that it will happen again. There's an 80% chance of success every time also. So that gives me hope. Thanks for asking. NCtoCOgirl I like your plan! I also like the idea of having the baby with either of us at all times and not having to worry about child care. Everyone, Thank you for the well wishes and it is so nice to see that I'm not the only one going through this. It seems that these types of dilemmas are those which most women encounter. It makes me hopeful that the women on which ever unit I end up on will be understanding.
