I just took the NCLEX today in CA and I was in there for about
1 3/4 hours and it shut off at 75 questions. I got a few pick all that apple, a few calculations, some mass casualty, but very few Pharm questions. I studied my butt off since Christmas for this test and did Kaplan. Doing the Kaplan Question Trainer questions at my own computer really simulated how the NCLEX works (font was the same too!). Anyway, Kapln helps a lot, so take it if you can (some hospitals where I live will now pay for Kaplan for you and Kaplan gives you a money back guarantee if you fail the test). I did Lippincott and Saunders questions and they helped. I did ATI in my RN program and it told me both times that I have a 98-99% chance of passing. I scored above 65% on all of the Kaplan practice tests and passed the Readiness exam at the Kaplan center when I took it a few weeks ago. But, when I was in there, it kinda hit me that THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE DAY YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! But, it was still a shock to be actually sitting for boards today.
I also had lots of trouble sleeping last night, which was sucky, since I got a nice, quiet hotel room so I could sleep in and rest. Haa! That didn't happen, I was so nervous and kept waking up with my stomach in knots (even after taking 2 Tylenol PM's to sleep easy). Anyway, I walked out of there smiling and happy it was over, but now I'm really doubting myself. I looked up the answers to the questions I remembered. My friends that took it in 75 questions all passed, but I think I'll be in the small percentage that failed at 75. Is anyone else in the same boat?
Thanks Haspel69, I have had my drink in hand since yesterday. LOL...I hope it means that I did well...I even did the "pearson trick" and got the good pop up, i just don't want to get my hopes up...and i wonder why they said my results would be friday being that tomorrow would make the 48 hour mark...either way i will definitely post my result...i don't see how peeps on cali hold up waitin for a month bc this girl is about to go insane and i'm goin on close to 36 hours
I also took mine today and it cutt off at 75 also. I walked out feeling releaved, but at the same time scared to death. I had a lot of pick all that apply questions and those worry me. I had a lot of OB and Pysch questions which are my weaker areas. I studied my but off and I still don't feel as if i passed . Hopefully we both passed:)

I took NCLEX yesterday and am awaiting the results. 75 questions and the screen went blue. That was always my goal but when it really happened it scared me. I have no idea if I passed or failed and I am wondering if I will ever get a good night sleep again. Got so many SATA , pharm and math. This is going to be the longest 48hrs of my life. Working so hard for so many years and your "fate" depends on 75 questions that take about an hour to answer. Crazy!!!
Hi,
Just took my NCLEX, it shut off @ 75 questions and I got at least 7-8 "select all that apply" and a few "assement" questions....does anyone think I failed? I think I failed, I did Kapplan and scored 60-68% on the practice tests, but traditionally did terrible on the SATP questions, which is why I am worried.
Thanks.

Jonathan,
You can pass or fail with any amount of Questions rather RN or LPN. Did you do the PVT? You might just surprise yourself. Good Luck!!
I am sure you passed, I felt the same way, I got 75 and the machine shut down, I knew, knew maybe 10 questions, the rest were educated guesses, fought back tears all the way home on subway, the next 2 days were the worst of my life, even though I did PVT and got the good pop up, and I passed everyone I know who got 75 questions passed, I have a friend who got 265 questions and passed, not that would of stressed me out,

I took mine yesterday (6/8/10) and it shut off at 75...i got a lot of pharmacology, SATA, and multiple choice. I didn't get any dosage, anatomical, audible, or drop and drag. i don't know how to feel....on top of that, pearson just told me that my results should be ready friday! I said, "That's WAY over the 48 hour wait period!!!!". The wait is KILLING me!!! It's torture!!!
