Took NCLEX today with 75 questions! What does that mean? I think I flunked.

Nursing Students NCLEX

I just took the NCLEX today in CA and I was in there for about

1 3/4 hours and it shut off at 75 questions. I got a few pick all that apple, a few calculations, some mass casualty, but very few Pharm questions. I studied my butt off since Christmas for this test and did Kaplan. Doing the Kaplan Question Trainer questions at my own computer really simulated how the NCLEX works (font was the same too!). Anyway, Kapln helps a lot, so take it if you can (some hospitals where I live will now pay for Kaplan for you and Kaplan gives you a money back guarantee if you fail the test). I did Lippincott and Saunders questions and they helped. I did ATI in my RN program and it told me both times that I have a 98-99% chance of passing. I scored above 65% on all of the Kaplan practice tests and passed the Readiness exam at the Kaplan center when I took it a few weeks ago. But, when I was in there, it kinda hit me that THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE DAY YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! But, it was still a shock to be actually sitting for boards today.

I also had lots of trouble sleeping last night, which was sucky, since I got a nice, quiet hotel room so I could sleep in and rest. Haa! That didn't happen, I was so nervous and kept waking up with my stomach in knots (even after taking 2 Tylenol PM's to sleep easy). Anyway, I walked out of there smiling and happy it was over, but now I'm really doubting myself. I looked up the answers to the questions I remembered. My friends that took it in 75 questions all passed, but I think I'll be in the small percentage that failed at 75. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I took my test today and got 75 questions....I wonder what the percentages are of people who fail at 75....I was probably one of them

has anyone failed at 75 questions? It seems like most have passed with 75???

People pass as well as fail with 75. Please believe me when I say stressing out about it will not help. Go and distract yourself whilst waiting for your results.

Hi,

I just wanted to say that I took the nclex exam today and mine also shut off at 75. Although I was kind of praying that it would happen I now have alot of anxiety over it, which I hear is basically "normal" I did the Kaplan review and must have done like 3000 questions to the point of feeling like I could hardly stomache them anymore. I did however begin to feel confident with how I was answering them. The Nclex was a slightly different story....most the time I felt like " This sounds right to me but, I just can't say for sure" HA HA. In any event, good luck to all!

find anything out yet???

I just took the NCLEX today, and I only got 75 questions. I am freaking out! I had a lot of med questions, a few select all that apply, and priority questions... I am so nervous I feel like I'm going to throw up! I did Kaplan, and I did so many questions! I passed the Kaplan readiness test with a 72%... but I feel like I didn't know anything today?!?!?!?! HELP!

You pretty much have to wait for your results as there is no way to predict the results, wishing you the best of luck while you wait. Keep us posted.

my uncle told me that most of the test takers would say that they fail the exams. i even told my family that i think i didnt make, that i am mostly unsure of my answers but i passed. just hang in there!

what were some of the topics for Select all that apply on NCLEX?

I also asked one of the nurses I work with who is a recent grad how she did and what she thought of the test. She said it stopped at 76 questions and she felt that she passed after it because her last question was easy and she knew it. So it all depends I think.

Good luck to all who are still waiting to hear.

I just took the nclex this morning, and it shut off on me at 75 also!! I am 99% sure I failed!!! :( I've taken so many practice tests, studied hours on end, and then get a test w/questions on only a couple topics! I had no math, and A LOT of "select all that apply"....

I am soooo upset.... I cannot believe it shut off at 75. Couldn't it have given me a chance on Different topics???? Has anyone out there failed w/75?? I feel like a complete idiot. My school also had the ATI's, my comp predictor said I had 97% chance of passing 1st time... and I also passed ALL ATI's, except pharm, I had to retake...we had an instructor who had no clue, she is no longer there for that reason....

HELP!!
