Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi Everyone, I am new here, I found this web sight to be very helpful with depression.:o I sat boards today and got 265 darn questions. I thought I was so prepared for the thing, and now I feel as if school wasn't really worth much. Anyone else feel this way? Anyone get 265 recently and passed/failed? Im really not sure what to think, I had tons of prioratizing care (who would I see first), Tons of pharm, and discharge info to be included. I feel so duh, so many of the answers could have been right , its that picking the "initial" thing that's got me so rattled. Do more people fail that get 265, or pass? please help.

I also got well over 200 on my RN boards and I passed according to everything I read about the NCLEX is that just as many people passed answering over 200 questions as those who answered the minimum. Hang in there you probably did just fine.

Good Luck! Keep us posted.

I just took boards on 1/31 and for the second time I had 265 questions. And I didn't pass again. That was my 3rd time and now I'm really feeling down. I feel that I had some hard questions and some easier ones. So from what I hear it's really close on the fence whether it's pass or fail.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience!!! Many, many people get 265 and pass. I've seen it on this board more times than I can count. When I took my NCLEX review course, I was told that if you get all 265 questions than it means that whether you pass or fail is based on if you get the last question right or not. So if you feel good about that last one, then you've got a great chance!!!

I Got my results..........I PASSED! Yeah. Oh and I know that I got the last question wrong. I had no Idea about it. Thanks for all the encouragement . I really appreciate it.

I just took mine for the first time and got 265! I feel so bad about it, I cried as soon as I got to the car. :crying2: I had no idea on most of the questions, and felt I was throwing darts the whole time. I'm pretty sure I got the last one right, but I hear that has nothing to do with pass/fail. I've been preparing for months, and had a major knowledge deficit on these questions. To me, they didn't feel like basic nursing questions. Nothing like the ones I practiced. :crying2:

Congratulations on your new RN status! I took my NCLEX exam on the 14th. I also had 265 questions. My friend who was there with me at the exam stopped at about 140 questions. So, I too wondered if 265 questions was a bad omen or not. This morning, I found out that I passed! So did my friend. So if you get 265 questions, don't panic! I wasn't sure I was going to pass, since I had taken my time on the first 75 questions. As I went beyond number 75, I immediately stepped up my pace. Towards the end of the exam, the last 30 questions, speed reading was my friend. I read the questions and answered the best possible answer.

After I took the exam, I came home and scoured the internet, looking for all the positive feedback for those who tested with 265 questions. This forum was the most informative that I found, and I continued to scour the threads, feeling less anxiety after reading how many did pass with all 265 questions. Thanks for the encouragement! I wish all the best of luck!!! Remember you have just as much chance of passing if you get 75 questions, 100 questions, 265 questions. Just trust your abilities!
