  1. I took the Nclex in March and failed with 75 questions. I had a lot of med/surg and hardly any priority questions and no calc. To me it seemed kind of easy. I once again took it yesterday and had 75 questions, this time there were mostly priority, infection control, meds, and some med/surg, no calc. I hope I passed this time because I don't know what else to do at this point. I get 70-80% on my quizzes and have multiple materials to get them from and it's like when I sit at the booth to take the real test I completely lose my mind and feel stupid. I will let you know as soon as I know what happened with this one!!
  2. Well I just found out today that I DID NOT pass?!?! I was so sure that I did good and didn't second guess myself when answering. I was wrong. I'm really upset at this test and more at myself for not passing this thing after the fourth time. And for Ceedrn Good Luck!!! I did think the pills helped calm me down(maybe too much) I felt good the night before and the morning of the test. I did have some anxiety, but my ability to focus on the questions was better, but I also did have only 75 as opposed to 265 that I've had before. I've never had to take any type of anxiety or depression pills ever. So it was a new thing for me. And I don't want to get hooked on them so I've already weaned myself off of them. I just don't know what to do know. Does anyone have any suggestions?????? I feel like God didn't want me to be a nurse.
  3. Thanks for the support. I will let everyone know as soon as I find out.
  4. I took my boards today for the fourth time. I've done in the past Kaplan and NCSBN review. I did Suzannes review for this time. In the past I've had 106, 265, and 265 questions. This time I had 75!! I feel confident in my studying and preparing for the test. I did have to tell work to cut my hours down, and at first they didn't really listen. I then had a breakdown about a week and a half prior to today and went to the doctor to give me something for my test anxiety. I was crying and depressed about having failed 3 times and being overworked and feeling so stressed out. I was mentally, spritually, and physically ready for the test. I will found out soon. Here in Missouri they mail it out within one week!!! Which I couldn't believe. Keep me in your thoughts. This website has helped me better prepare and realize that I'm not alone!!! So thanks!!!!!
  5. I took the 3 week online review through NCSBN. I'm not sure that it was very helpful for me. It was a bunch of modules on the different sections of the test and all of the systems of the body. At the end of each section there was a quiz. There was also a part you could take random test questions. I didn't find the material that I was reading very helpful or any better than Kaplan. Some of it was contradiciting what Kaplans book said. It just made me even more confused. I actually scored exactly the same on the NCLEX results as the time before when I took the Kaplan course. I am now doing Suzannes review and getting ready to take it again at the end of March. Hopefully I pass this time!!!!! Everyone studies and takes tests differently but one thing a lot of us have in common is the will to pass this test after going through all of the hard work we did in nursing school. You have to find what works for you. I hope this helps you. Good Luck!!!
  6. Quick question. When doing the quizzes after I've read the chapter, is it on the CD or the book? Thanks
  7. I just took boards on 1/31 and for the second time I had 265 questions. And I didn't pass again. That was my 3rd time and now I'm really feeling down. I feel that I had some hard questions and some easier ones. So from what I hear it's really close on the fence whether it's pass or fail.
  8. I hear ya! I just took it for the 3rd time earlier this week and didn't pass. I've done the Kaplan Review and the NCSBN online class. I also had 265 questions for the second time. I had 106, 265, and 265. I was REALLY close the second time, it stated when I received the results in the mail of near passing in all of the sections. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's difficult to tell your boss and loved ones that you didn't pass again!!! I really need to relax and possibly study differently?? I feel that Kaplan was very helpful. I do better with an instructor there instead of the online studying. Is there anyting else that I can do?
