Took my NCLEX RN at 8 this morning, and walked out at 9 after it shut off at 75. I'm really nervous to try to the PVT, so I think I may just wait. I had a bunch (maybe around 10?) SATA and my last question was a med math calculation!? It was a dose dependent on weight, and changing lbs-->kg. Pretty sure I got it right. But it seemed too good to be true? Anyone else have a med calc for their last question? Ahhhhh so nervous.
If you live in the Midwest, the NCLEX "go to guy" is Mark Klimek. His three day workshop was amazing and should be a requirement for any new nurse. We didn't have "homework", we didn't have 8 zillion review questions, we just sat down and enjoyed a quick review of the essentials of a safe nurse. It's hard to explain but he has a stellar passing rate and most students shut off at 75. And....he's cheaper! ($285.00 for 3 days).

good luck everyone!
AHHH I just finished too, took an hour and 75 questions.. I got a lot of SATA and priority and meds I've never heard of. I felt unsure of everything, and I didn't get a calculation question. That's a bad sign right...? Whimper.
Nope!! I finished with 75 questions, no math calculations for me!!
I take my test tomorrow at 2pm and I am TERRIFIED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know my stuff, but it's ONE test, you know! I've done the Hurst Review, and on their mock NCLEX I haven't gotten less than 95 out of a possible 125 points. You can take it up to 6 times and you get different questions each time- so that alone is more than 700 questions. I am nauseated beyond words! Please pray for me! On that note, I'm going to bed. It's already 9:48 pm!!!

I am NOT a fan of select all that apply....and have historically not done too hot on those types of questions. I didn't realize there would be so many of them on the test...yikes! I just got even more nervous...if that is even possible!
let us know how you did theviv!!! I should be getting my ATT in a couple of weeks.... until then ... studystudystudy!!!:)
I PASSED!! I did the pearsonvue trick on Friday and I got the good popup, and I just checked the PA BON and my name is up there as RN, yaaaayyy!! I can't believe that trick works.
And I'm glad I didn't have to pay for quick results, I think that's just their cruel twisted way of making more money, so I exercised my rights as a consumer to not give in to them.

On the Q bank questions my average was 65%, and on all the question trainers I was between 63% and 67%, and on the Readiness exam I got a 73%. I got a 66% and 67% on Question trainer 6 and 7, and per Kaplan, they advise you should aim for a 60%, so I thought that was pretty good. I don't know - the NCLEX questions were from out in left field, but I felt better prepared having done all the Kaplan questions. Initially my confidence took a huge hit when I was scoring in the 60's, but I realized that all of the questions were well above the minimum level of competency, and I realized it would be difficult for anyone to achieve really high scores. Good luck!!
