Took NCLEX RN this morning.

Published

Took my NCLEX RN at 8 this morning, and walked out at 9 after it shut off at 75. I'm really nervous to try to the PVT, so I think I may just wait. I had a bunch (maybe around 10?) SATA and my last question was a med math calculation!? It was a dose dependent on weight, and changing lbs-->kg. Pretty sure I got it right. But it seemed too good to be true? Anyone else have a med calc for their last question? Ahhhhh so nervous.

Good luck to you all and congrats to those who passed :)

I'm in the same boat. Took mine yesterday and it cut off at 75. My last 2 questions were priority questions. I did the PVT and got the good pop up! Hope it works!!!!

I am a believer of the Good pop up!!! I passed. Found out this morning, less than 24 hours on the Florida board of health website. So, I guess if you have alot of SATA, the good pop up and 75 questions...it's a very good sign guys. Good luck to all! :):yeah:

Congrats!

I took my NCLEX this morning.. 85 questions. I swear it was all medication side effects, about 25 of them probably. And a ton of priority questions like (20). I got 2 med math calculations towards the end.

I was really surprised i didnt get any infection control questions.

I tried the PVT, and got the good pop up so hopefully it really works for me!

i took it this morning also. it shut off at 75, over 20 sata which i'm taking as a good sign.... it's really all a blur. i'm too scared to try the pearson vue trick. i will just keep checking my state board of nursing website to see if my license "flips" from temporary to active. my legs feel like jelly! here's hoping we all passed :)

I took mine at 12:00 this afternoon. Shut off at 75. Tons of SATA and meds. Only one med dosage. I got the good pop-up...The waiting is excruciating!

I'm still waiting too!!!! But I'm also still thinking good thoughts for everyone :)

I finally caved and tried the PVT this morning, and got the good pop up, which has prevented me from being completely psychotic. Now, I'm only slightly nauseated... haha. Seriously: 75Q's, high level of difficulty, lots of meds, AND the good pop-up??? It's hard to not be optomistic that we all did well :yeah:Stay positive everyone!

hey everyone,

i'll be taking the nclex in a few weeks. can you tell me how you guys studied for it? especially meds! how did you study all those meds? and did you feel prepared? PLEASE HELP ME!

hey, i made a study plan, and read the Saunders NCLEX RN review book and then I also bought the Saunders NCLEX RN study questions book and did all those questions plus the questions on the CD. I also read the Kaplan book that guarantees NCLEX success. My advice on the meds, cuz i struggled with them too, is to just remember the endings. Then know the major se for ea, like ACE-I and coughs, and aminoglycosides and nephrotoxicity. Do lots of study questions, cuz then you'll feel confident, and be positive! you can do it! Good LUCK!

When I took my NCLEX-RN I had a math dosage question for question 72, shut off at 75, I had 21 SATA, did the PVT, didn't let me reschedule. So I would say you are good to go, I have heard of a few people having a dosage question late in the test and they passed. Good luck, hope you passed.

OMG - I'm so relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who had a buch of SATA - I didn't think to count how many, but it seriously felt like every other question. And honestly, I never do well on SATA. I was done in 75 questions and my last one was SATA...ugh!! I hate waiting. I did the PVT and it wouldn't let me register, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I wish CA participated in quick results. The wait is excrutiating. Good luck to everyone!

I took Kaplan's Review Course, and I'm really glad I did. I felt really well prepared for the types of questions asked. I don't know that I would have felt as confident had I done it all on my own. Good luck!

Do you mind if I ask how you did on your Q banks & question trainers? I'm done with the Kaplan classes & now just studying before I test in a couple of weeks. I thought doing Kaplan would boost my confidence but now I'm getting more scared & less confident!! :crying2:
