Took nclex rn in california on 7/18..

This was my second try.. I did the pvt right after the exam and have been getting good popups since then..so I am hoping to see a good result soon!!

can anyone from california tell me how long they've waited to get their names on the bon?? I know it's only been 2 days but can't stop thinking that there is a possibility that I failed this one again..

Ok so u I have some reassuring news to share. So after not seeing my name today yet again I started to worry and called the BRN ad was able to speak with my evaulator as I thought maybe my file was incomplete and they were missing my transcripts which is why my name wasnt showing up.Well he told me that they hadn't received my results from Pearson Vue yet which was odd and that I should contact Peasrson Vue to see if there was an issue. So called Pearson Vue and was told, No my results were released and that everything is good on there end so to call my board back. Well after calling my evaulator back and him doing research it turns out that Since Friday, 7/20, there has been a glitch in the system between the BRN and Pearson Vue to where results that have been released haven't been coming through and are basically floating out in the BRN cyber space. Results are released from Pearson Vue 48 hours after testing and if everything is working and your file is complete, the site automatically updates with your license. But since this glitch has happened, it didnt with those who have tested in the last week. And for those of us who tested on 7/18, the glitch happened on 7/20 which is the day when our results were released from pearson vue. So the BRN is working now to retrieve that info. But as of now there's nothing we can do but wait. Sucks that this would happen to us!!!

Of course :) Thank you so much for the update! I have tried to call the BON and could not get through. I guess we are the lucky ones. However, I did try the "trick" and it still has the pop up so there is hope.

You are more than welcome! I still believe in the pop up because our results went through! The "delivery successful" basically means that Pearson Vue has scored our test and that it is complete without any problems. Which is why we can't re-register for another test. And then 48hrs later, they release scores to the BON...but unfortunately, the two sites are not communicating and the BON is not receiving this info. It's an issue on the BON's side and Pearson Vue can do nothing about it. I even tried to ask the rep from Pearson Vue if he could tell me whether I passed.....of course he couldn't! smh....but basically that there was no issue on their end with my test and it's my BON who releases the info. So this is why we are still geting the good pop up....but no name/license on the site as of yet! smh

thank u so much for sharing the update with us!!! i almost lost my patience.. so they r working to get things right and we should hav our names automatically updated on the site soon right? i wish it happens before the wknd. i dont think i can wait another wk. but thanks again for ur effort mya!!!!

No wonder...I knew something odd was going on. My classmates took their nclex on 7/16 & 7/17 & saw their names on the BON website Friday 7/20. Thank u for the update!!! let hope we see our names by the end of this week.

Wow - this is really good information, hopefully this explains why I have been waiting for nearly 8 days now!

Thank you again for being so proactive - I have NOT been able to make any contact w. BON...did not even think to contact Pearson! You are AWESOME! Fingers Crossed PVT still works for us!

Hi Mya, Wondering - how are you actually getting anyone on the phone at the BRN? I have attempted to call a few times, but it always states they are not taking calls at this time. Any tricks? As...I need to make contact w. someone as I am supposed to start working next week and I want to make sure I have a license to practice with !?! I am starting to think perhaps my transcripts are missing - or something...Thank you kindly... (I am too new to send you a PM hence posting on the board).

Ok... Somehow I got through to speak w. someone at the BRN. He was a tough cookie, felt like I could not get any info out of him except for "2 - 4 weeks " as an expected processing time to see one's name on website. I asked about people seeing results in 48 hours, he said that may be possible....but..."2 - 4 weeks" . I asked him about my IP permit still being on the website, he stated that the IP permit is valid until you receive official notice in the mail regarding results from the exam. So...as much as I thought IP permit was a clue to passing, people state that the BRN takes it down if one fails...Not sure that is truth rather rumorville. I could not get any info about the "Pearson Vue Glitch" in reporting info... Mya - you did good work, not sure how you got any info from the BRN but...you clearly did not speak to this guy.

I also took my boards on 7/18 in San Francisco, & got a "good" pop up but still nothing on the BRN. Glad to know others who took it on the same day still don't have results either.

I've hear the BRN only updates once a day, does anyone know if that's accurate

They do only update the site once per day. The Date changes on the website in the morning around 730am...stating when the website was last updated. However, some time after 4 am it seems as though the permanent license names have completed uploading. I have checked at 3am and it has shown up but the last few mornings, it has not been compete until after 0400.

Not to sound neurotic....but, that is what I know from watching the past 2 weeks for my name to appear (after the positive pop-up menu)....found out today transcripts have not been inputed into the system (after having been sent in 4 weeks ago).

I am expecting to see my name on the website sometime next week - if the PVT is 100% accurate. Fingers and toes still crossed! :)

The lady that I spoke to at the BON yesterday was very nice and she told me that there was a glitch, without me even mentioning what I read on this site. So she did confirm it to be true. She never once said anything about 2-4 weeks and when I told her that I need to know for a possible job offer she it should be up soon. Sorry the person you spoke with was a tough cookie. Lets just hope it is posted soon!
