Took NCLEX PN Aug. 30th.....85 quest.

Hello fellow NCLEX takers. I sat for my boards yesterday at noon. The comp cut off at 85 !!! I was in such a daze the hole test. I seriously feel like I only knew 10 answers and the rest I guessed. I got 4-5 SATA, LOTS of rooming in, infecton control, pharm...but no math, and data collection quest. I left the testing center in SHOCK !!! I think im still in shock....I keep going over and over quest. in my head and its driving me crazy. Im from Cali and unfortunately I wont be able to receive my results until 30-45 days :0( via mail. My gutt is telling me that I failed cuz I noticed my quest. kept going back to rooming in and infect. control. Grrr...........................

i got my results today after waiting just under 5 weeks. i went to the mail box and there it was..right there on top of the rest of the mail in a regular size envelope. i ran in the house and fell to my knee's and it read in bold has passed !!! god is sooo good....i want to say thank you to all of you that have kept me in your prayer. i truely believe iam here today living my dream because of god and i also believe that this is his will for my life. you all are in my prayers and remember.... do not to give up on your dreams.

I also had 85 questions on my exam. The computer just turned off the test and I was shocked and afraid, but to my amazement 2 days later the result were positive. I passed, thank God (prayed alot)

Hang in there, I would rather have it sut off with 85 questions instead of 285.. I hear that is a good sign you passed. stay positive.

Ok, so I'm kinda new to this site and reading your guys' posts has been helpful. im a recent graduate who is about to take my NCLEX exam on Oct. 7th. I cannot express how sick to my stomach i am. I am so nervous its disgusting... I'm losing sleep and just feel so much anxiety and i just keep studying and studying. My friend and I are taking the test together and we keep trying to give eachother pep talks but I just keep returning to this same nauseated, anxious state. I can only imagine how I'll feel after the test.icon9.gif

I sat for my test 2 weeks ago and I SWORE I failed!! My machine cut off at 85 and I had no idea what the heck happened to me!! I thought I was on Candid Camera...I couldn't understand why I felt like I had been hit by a MACK truck, BUT I PASSED!

Just believe in yourself and put your trust in God. If you studied, then you should be fine. Another thing, do not focus on the number of questions, just relax and take deep breathes, try to write as much things as you can in the dry erase board that is going to be provided to you. Remember, when you are feeling anxious, stand up, and take deep breathes and maybe, even take a break. It will pull yourself together. Just keep thinking very positive thoughts. God bless!

Hi everyone...just want to check in and see how you guys are holding up. I mailed off the check for 120 on oct 3 to get my license. I will now have to wait 3-4 weeks. grrr.....I waited 5 weeks for results, now another 4 weeks for the license. Gosh.. this is crazy. Im not abt to start work until my employer can actually verify me on the BON website and with license in hand. Trying me to patient :D

We are all hanging on. Called bvnpt today and they said they mailed out results from sept 3 - 5 yesterday. Hopefully they get to work on ours soon! I can't believe it will take that long to get the actual license. But think of it this way, at least you're already waiting for your license. We still don't know what we will get in the mail. Please continue to pray for us!

I know you guys have all been there... as I am reading along, I was nervously watching to see when you guys passed. Congratulations to all. I am scheduled to take my test this Saturday, two days from now!! I have been studiying the NCLEX -PN flashcards by Saunders, Has anyone else tried them? I am curious b/c as I am doing the questions I am getting more nervous. Many of the meds they refer to, and procedures are things I have not heard of, anyone else have this experience? I did great all through school, Passed all my ATI tests (PA version of NCLEX prep) This testing source, gave me a 99% expected pass rate for NCLEX predictor. Not that I think that is going to do me any good, I realize I have to figure this out...real quick. I am not normally a person that has test anxiety (although I do now) I am frantically looking up all of these terms, procedure and meds. A lot of unusual cancer meds, and rare treatments. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks :bluecry1:

Hey tigerlily, I'm in PA too...where are you located?? im outside philadelphia...

I didnt do the flashcards, but I did the saunders book...Im sure they're very similar...I did 3,260 (but who's counting) practice questions between saunders and mosby and I passed...I just took it like 2 weeks ago...You will be able to find out really soon if you passed...Pearson Vue will let Harrisburg know by Monday morning if you're taking it saturday...If you passed, it will show up by noon...But if its not there, don't freak, since its a saturday it may take til tuesday, but i doubt it...dont pay the extra money to find out, just go into pa state board of nursing and click on license verification on the left side...just type in your name and click search and it will show you your license info...you can also look up other people on that too...kinda weird...

anyway, I thought i prepared as best as I could and when i took the test i felt terrible..i had the highest GPA for the year in my whole class and i felt like i hadnt learned a thing after that test...you will get questions on nclex that you either dont know AT ALL or there are two good answers and you are totally TORN! i posted a link on my earlier comment and you MUST read this! I wish i had read this prior to my test because it would have made me feel a little smarter and have way more confidence during the exam...i felt like i almost gave up mentally by question 35 because there were NO questions on that test that I had done in my 3,260 practice questions...NONE! You cant spend your time trying to learn new things...just do the questions for practice and only look up things that you want to refresh on if you dont remember them while doing practice items...the day of the test you should not do any practice questions....just relax...but im sure you'll be fine!!! but PLEASE read that link because it is AMAZING! i was the first in my class to take the nclex test and i shared that with my class friends and it boosted everyones confidence-they all passed too!!! GOOD LUCK and please let me know how you do!!! :typing
