Published

Hello fellow NCLEX takers. I sat for my boards yesterday at noon. The comp cut off at 85 !!! I was in such a daze the hole test. I seriously feel like I only knew 10 answers and the rest I guessed. I got 4-5 SATA, LOTS of rooming in, infecton control, pharm...but no math, and data collection quest. I left the testing center in SHOCK !!! I think im still in shock....I keep going over and over quest. in my head and its driving me crazy. Im from Cali and unfortunately I wont be able to receive my results until 30-45 days :0( via mail. My gutt is telling me that I failed cuz I noticed my quest. kept going back to rooming in and infect. control. Grrr...........................

tilapia05,

I called the boards and they said they mailed mine out yesterday. Try to call today! Maybe you are included in that batch too! I'm so anxious. Please pray for me! This is it! The moment of truth.

Tilapia05,

Did you call? My classmate just called right now and she said they told her they are processing test results from September 11. Call today coz they will be closed on Monday for Columbus day!

Everyone, please do pray for us.

Just called them, still working on 11 Sept candidates. Maybe next week she said. It will be sooner than expected. God bless!

Hello everyone, great discussion!

I took my NCLEX PN on September 25th. Waiting for my results along with everyone else. There are good days and then there are days I focus on what I could have done.

Unlike some of you, I really can't remember much about the test. There was the numbness others have mentioned after the test was over. I believe that I read on this site that if you didn't get a lot of math questions that that is a good sign as math questions are easier questions. I got one. There was only a couple of pharm questions though, and I consider them the tough questions, so I don't know how I did.

So, I sit here in beautiful California and wait.......

Good luck to all of us waiters, lol.

Hey guys,

Just an update. My friend took her NCLEX PN and she got her results on thurs. She took her test Sep 4th, She went to 205 and thought she failed. Well..she passed !!! So, for all you out there that swear you fail at 205..not true. I went to 85 and thought I failed. Remember its just a number you can pass or fail at 85 or 205. Good Luck to everyone :D

How many questions did you stop at? Also, did you have a lot of prioritization?

It stopped at 85. When it did, it took me a minute to breath. At first I thought I would be happy if it stopped there, but then I realized that when it stopped, my capabilities were no longer in question. It really makes you crazy, doesn't it?

I got some priority questions. Funny thing, they make you sign paperwork to say you can't talk about the questions, but darn if I can remember much at all.

There was about three or four pharm questions. I did have one question that seemed almost a repeat of another question I'd had. Someone told me that you get those if you miss the first question of the same nature, but someone else told me that it doesn't matter, you can get similar repeats anyway. Also, to be careful because the second question will not be worded the same as the first, so it might have an entirely different meaning.

hmm i had maybe one question that seemed to be VERY similar to a previous one but I'm sure there was no significant reason behind it. Mine stopped at 85 too and i was sooo happy when it did but it was soon followed with the realization that they've decided amongst those questions if i meet the standard.

This whole waiting thing is just soooo hard. I'm in Cali too and waiting 5 wks is nasty. I'm hoping for the best but you just never know with these kinds of tests. Even if (God forbid) i failed, i wouldnt even know what to go back and study!

I'm with you. Besides that, I am tired of studying. I passed with 10 A's and three B's, but still feel awful about this test. You would think we'd be allowed to get a license based on all the hours we've put in and the grades we've made. Some of the students I've known that failed were really good with their patients and some that passed, well, I don't know how they got out of nursing school.

That's my vent, lol!

Ok, I sooooooo know what you mean! There are people that have passed the nclex in my school that im shocked graduated and I did really well in school! I'm so done with studying too. Sighhh...i dunno, this waiting game just sucks big time. Where in Cali are you from btw?

I'm located in Porterville, which is in the central valley, about 50 miles north of Bakersfield.

Originally from Long Beach, California. After getting my license I plan to move away from here.......
