  1. One thing is for sure, there are times that spanking is needed, and responded to. There are times that it is not necessary and just ignored. I learned that for very young kids, when they do misbehave, to take them out of the situation right away. I have a 4 year old and it seems to work. Ignoring them is another way, ie) keeps asking for something and you already said no, or if they ask for something and they do not say please. I started "time out" at age 1. It sounds cruel, but until now, it works for him and he understands that it means that he did something that is not acceptable. When they get older, I think that taking things away that matters the most to them is the best way to go. It is also important that as parents, that we talk to them like adults. I also believe that a parent should not be a child's buddy. But at the same time, not a stranger either. There should be a balance between being your child's friend and authority. Also, make it known, that, YES, YOU ARE THE BOSS!
  2. The only thing I can say is that it does not matter how many questions you got. The important thing now is to relax and just think that it is all in God's hands now. Just think positive and everytime you think about the results, pray to God. 85 is usually a good thing. Will be praying for you.
  3. Just be patient with them....my result did not come in the mail until after 5 weeks and 1 day after I took the test. Very long...as long as you did your part then, it is all in God's hands.
  4. Congratulations lvnhopeful. You are right, I think it was huneyrossi that posted how the site works. Here is the site so that you can better understand how the test works. http://caring4you.net/concept.html Courtesy of huneyrossi (i believe so). I personally used the Exam Cram from Pearson Vue, i also used Lippincott's and Saunders. And I was blessed that I got to go to a review class. Which was very helpful because I did not go to school at all. It helped me to "skin the CAT." (skin the Computer Adaptive Test) the more you understand it, the better and more confident you are going to tackle it.
  5. Yes, it is really amazing how I released a lot of my frustrations in this forum and it is indeed a great comfort! God bless!
  6. As what anxiously waiting said, let GO and let GOD!!! God bless and will be praying for you!.
  7. Good for you!!! God bless!
  8. Do not loose hope, you probably did good. I waited 5 weeks and 1 day for the result, and you are not alone with what you are feeling. Believe me, I have been there. Also, I that was my second time taking the test and luckily I passed the second time. Just keep thinking positive thoughts and you will be glad that you did!
  9. Hi PN2B2008, Thanks for the Congrats! I really think that the review course that I took helped me out a lot just how to approach the test questions their website is http://www.hprovider.com They offer classes up in Los Angeles and also in Orange County. It cost me (my dad) $350.00 for the class. The first day, they talked about how to approach the test and some testing strategies, which helped me out a lot because I just challenged this test. I did not go to school for it, I was in the military for 8 years and just took the test. Also, I had the book NCLEX CRAM from pearson vue, I will research the ISBN number for you so that you know which one I am talking about. I also used a little bit of Saunders and Lippincotts. A lot of the people are recommending http://www.ncsbn.com from other posts, so you might want to check them out. Let me know that else you want to know and I will be very happy to help you out.
  10. Hi nsng4me, I am sorry to hear that, this is my second time taking the test and I did not loose hope, just time -it took me a while before I took the test again. My recommendation is that do not loose hope. I highly suggest a review class as well, and a lot of people said that http://www.ncsbn.com has a good review class. Also, do saunders review. I myself, mixed up lippincott's and a review class, and the nursing cram book by pearson vue. Remember, this test does not say what kind of nurse you are going to be. So, just think positive. God bless. Let me know if you need anything else.
  11. Yes, God is really good!!! Thanks again.

God bless to all that are still waiting! 5 weeks and 1 day for me, it was worth all the wait!
