  1. It helps immensely! Thank you so much, I graduated Aug 27th, and this was the earliest test date I could get!! I do feel quite a bit relieved after reading this. Thanks again!! PS I know where Abington is!!
  2. I am in York, But grew up outside of Philly, (Bucks and Montgomery county) Thanks a lot for the words of encouragement. I do feel like I am going crazy trying to research everything I do not know. I am definatly going to try to stick with the questions. It just seems like it could be bad if I am already getting so many of the practice questions wrong. How long did you wait after graduation to take the test? I just graduated at the end of August. Thanks again!!
  3. I know you guys have all been there... as I am reading along, I was nervously watching to see when you guys passed. Congratulations to all. I am scheduled to take my test this Saturday, two days from now!! I have been studiying the NCLEX -PN flashcards by Saunders, Has anyone else tried them? I am curious b/c as I am doing the questions I am getting more nervous. Many of the meds they refer to, and procedures are things I have not heard of, anyone else have this experience? I did great all through school, Passed all my ATI tests (PA version of NCLEX prep) This testing source, gave me a 99% expected pass rate for NCLEX predictor. Not that I think that is going to do me any good, I realize I have to figure this out...real quick. I am not normally a person that has test anxiety (although I do now) I am frantically looking up all of these terms, procedure and meds. A lot of unusual cancer meds, and rare treatments. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
  4. Anyone ever work for Healthsooth Rehab? They are all over the country, and the few hospitals that hire a lot of LPN's Any experiences with this employer, or how they pay? Thanks
  5. i agree 100% they do intimidate and scare you throughout most of the program, and it is maddening!! it serves no purpose, other then to scare away the meek and timid. i think that is the goal. however on a more positive note i think they do that to make sure you know what you are getting into, and take it very seriously. my advice would be, do not ever let them see you panic, or freak out, they will jump you like a shark!! ask very few questions...make every attempt to figure it out on your own first, they like the independent resourceful thinkers, that do not need constant direction. best of luck!! stay strong do not let them crack you...you will get through it much easier that way.
  6. First time posting here.. Just wondering does anyone know after graduation, when still awaiting temp practice permit in the mail, is it okay to begin interviewing for jobs? or is the temp permit required? I would like to schedule my exam, but cannot do so without the permit, in the interim, I feel like I should be attempting to find a job, yet can I be hired without this official document? Red tape confusion... Thanks..
