Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey Guys, I just took my nclex. My computer shut off at 75 questions. I didn't get a lot of Select apply my exam was based on priority, precautions, who to see first and meds about antiboiodics. I just did the trick after half hour and took me to register.. that mean I didn't pass :( how can I do the quick results of 48 hours :(

I failed... any suggestion I took Kaplan.... should I get my refund and do Hurst?? Need advise. Thank you!

Take Sylvia Rayfield, nursing made insanely easy. http://www.sylviarayfield.com/nclex-rn-courses.php.... I took all the nclex classes, Kaplan, hurst, lipincott and two others.... And didn't pass but after Sylvia Rayfield, nursing made insanely easy class. I passed!!! I went to the class offered in person. A great class. I wished I would've known about it during nursing school because it would've helped too... Good luck and don't give up! Perseverance!!!

[COLOR=#003366]LKell Thanks.. I am going to contact Kaplan to get my money back. Is this course will be helfpul? is it questions only or contents? How is the course whats the positive feedback about it?

The course is a 2-3 day class. It goes over content of all major systems, the questions, pointers and hintsabout nclex questions and helps you to comprehend what the nclex is looking for as far as answers. The instructor takes breaks every hour so that you are not worn out and overloaded with information. It comes with a book and a question book as well. The instructor I had was Sylvia Rayfield and she was an amazing teacher. She keep me interested the whole time. She has another partner in the program Loretta Manning. The book has pics in it to help you remember things. I found myself remembering a pic and what was going on in the pic which led me to the answer on the nclex. I bought the pharmacology book they had too, just as a refresher for the future. I am not a big fan of promoting things but this one I will stand behind. If you need my backstory and how this worked for me I will be glad to share. My email is [email protected].

I am sorry to hear that. But I don't understand why computer shut off at 75th question? I am gonna take nclex exam hopefully in January 2015. Please can someone explain to me? I was thinking if you don't do well, they ask u questions more than 75. If u are giving correct answer the computer stop asking after 75 they said.

Thanks

Shut off at 75 just means that you consistently exceeded the passing standard or were consistently below the passing standard and further questions statistically would not change the pass/fail result. Those who hover near the passing standard get additional questions to prove statistically that the candidate meets/exceeds the passing standard in all areas--or doesn't.

Now make sense. Cos I hear people

Sitting like 5 hour on the computer lol

So if u keep picking wrong answers, the system shut it down due consistent of wrong answer.

Correct. If you were below the passing standard in all areas at the 75th question statistically you have demonstrated the inability to safely practice as an entry level nurse. You failed.

We will take Kaplan prior to nclex. Mandatory by school.. According my school is 99% passing rate on nclex. Hopefully I won't be the 1% :((

Since our exams are so hard, I was thinking nclex would be so easy. Cos I do pretty well soundres, nclex 3500 and so...
