Took my nclex, failed again

Published

Hi, I just got my unofficial greade and I FAIL. This is my second time taking the exam. The first time I was definetely unprepared but this time I studied very hard, did almost 4,000 questions and even took an ATI predictor test that said I had an 85% chance of passing. The first time I did 88 questions and this time I did 265 questions. It was pretty traumatizing. I'm not sure what to do, I was doing ATI that my school gave us. I was wondering does anyobody know any review courses that are good are even any good books for Prioritizing questions I would definetely say this new format for the NCLEX is full of prioritizing questions. I also wanted to know is Kaplan worth the money? HELP PLEASE

I'm in NY. I'm not giving up just a little down. I'm also a terrible test taket but a great student. I was told the Nclex you need to have good test taking skills.

Keep your heads up. I took the nclex 2 weeks ago and failed. Marcos did an amazing job explaining what you need to focus on this time. For now take a break and as soon as you have cleared your mind, get back on track and switch things up a bit this time. Remember, if we can't do this we wouldn't graduate from nursing school. Good luck next time!

Hi lovepinks,

I would recommend purchasing online questions from reviews for nurses. Their website is www.nclex.reviewfornurses.com. I have just purchased their questions and they are very difficult with the new nclex format questions. They have tons of select all that apply and you get about 1600 questions in all subjects. These questions definately reflect the new nclex format. You can also do the full online review with videos and the questions for $250. I watched some of the sample videos and they are amazing, however I just don't have the money to do the full online review so I have just been doing practice questions. I have done many kaplan, ATI, and saunders questions and these are much easier than the review for nurses questions. Keep your head up! you will get it!

Thank you all for your advice

Yes. Kaplan is well worth it. I recommend BOTH Hurst and Kaplan. I passed first time out. GOOD LUCK!

I am really sorry to hear that you failed. I took my test today, and I failed as well. I am completely devastated because I am a straight A student who has been studying daily since graduation. I really felt confident going into the test, but for some reason I just didn't get it all together for the test.

I plan on re-taking it again as soon as I can. We just need to try to stay positive and hope for the best. If you come up with any helpful study guides let me know, and I will do the same for you.

I passed my NCLEX just a few days ago!! I didn't pass the first time, but I retook it, and thanks to ATI, I PASSED!!!! Thanks to everyone for all of the information on all of these threads, all of the tips were so useful.

Eventhough, I am doing very well through out my BSN prog. I still took the review because I want to pass it first time! This is how I study it: Took excell review, its a 10 days money worth it. It focus on the contents only!!!! After the review, I spent at least 4-8hrs/day going over my notes for two wks!! then I passed at 75Q!! I believe if you understand the contents you will able to answer any questions when time come!! I only did maybe 1000 questions from saunder and realized that I am wasting so much time try to study fragment of materials all over the place!! If you understand and know the content very well then practice questions help if you dont waste your time!! Just know the materials!!!! Hey relax you will pass the next time
