took NCLEX this AM GOT 75...

Published

Just to let everyone know....i got 75 questions and know I failed so yes you can graduate with high honors and fail.....that test was crazy...what do they expect from all of us we can't possibly know everything..i recognized absolutely nothing and the priority questions were nuts!!!!!

So yes it is possible to fail at 75, so I guess I will be doing this again in July!!!

-Shannon GN for life!!!

Shannon, also remember that of the 75 questions (and perhaps some of the ones you know you got wrong)...15 of them are experimental questions and do not count against you. I had like 9 million (10 actually) check all that apply...the kind I hate the most! I was thinking after the 2nd question that they'd decide to cut it off at 75 cause I couldn't answer the first two (with certainty). And I sweated it out but found out Sunday that I passed as well! Good luck to you and hang in there.

Don't fret you all. NCLEX is wanting you to get around 50% right of your questions. I too had 5 med questions and missed 3 of them. I had cancer, bleeding disorders, TURP's, everything...but I passed! They all told me if you come out of there feeling like you failed, then you passed! It is usually that way from my understanding so far.

Good luck :- )

I took the NCLEX today and I feel the exact same way. This emotional roller coaster is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I got 75 questions and I am not so sure what to think of the test. As soon as I walked out of the testing center my brain started trying to process the info that it was just slamed with. Right away I remembered questions that I knew I got wrong. I didn't get many questions that looked foreign. However, there are many that I would answer differently now that I have had time to think about them. I will find out wednesday the results. I have had four friends that have taken the test in the last couple weeks. All of them got 75 questions and passed. I pray that we can add our names to the list.

I left the Pearson Vue testing cener less than 45 minutes after I began totally bewildered . I got the blue screen of death at 75. Some of the questions I was just thinking .."are you kidding me??!!!!"The priorty questions were not clear cut and I seemed to get them repeatedly! I was ill the whole day and yesterday I got results that I PASSED. Have faith and do not beat yourself up.Pass or fail...life has not come to an end.....as the song by American Rejects says....."MOVE ALONG" keep progressing and ptting one foot in front of another until you are out of the bad part of life you are experiencing.

I think it's been well-established here that many people walk out thinking the worst after the NCLEX. I just wanted to add that people have a tendency to look back on many of the questions that really gave them a hard time. I don't think this is a good idea. When they check their textbooks and find out they missed some, it can unnecessarily add to the anxiety. In most cases, there are many questions that we nailed, but we tend to forget about those after the exam because we didn't have to spend a lot of time looking at them. As a previous poster pointed out, the computer makes it so that most candidates, passing and failing, get about 50% right. It's the level of difficulty of those questions that determines pass/fail.

i thought i would post it here too....

i passed!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so excited!!!!!

thank you all for listening to me freak out yesterday!!!!!

Praying for you! BEST OF LUCK!

Don't be so sure that you failed. When I took my NCLEX, the computer shut down after 75 questions too.....I sat there in shock! I KNEW that 1 of 2 things had happened.....I was so lacking in knowledge that I killed the computer with my stupidity and the NCLEX god was laughing at me.....OR...that I had passed. Fortunately I passed and I'm sure that you passed too! Think positive thoughts!

what is your plan on passing?? I failed the nclex three times as of today. Please help
