Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX-RN today at 9am. Had about 125 questions. Was trying not to pay attention because after 75 got a bit discouraged. I've been studying since the end of April. I cannot wait to find out. I for sure answered the last question correctly. I've heard that is a good sign?...I really have done everything everyone has said to do in order to pass. Of course, you always think you should've done more. C'est la vie. I did get priority questions throughout. Also got a lot of infection control q's. I really wish I would've studied that a lot more. Not a one on lasix, digoxin, maoi's, anti-neuroleptics. You know, the ones you would swear would be on there. Has anyone heard that last question bit? If you get it right, you probably passed? It makes sense to me. I don't know. Let me know if you have any uplifting comments......

Hi sbh,

OK, don't let it scare you that you got 125 questions on the test. The number of questions you receive doesn't say anything about how you did on the test. People pass and fail with 75 questions, the same for 265 questions. I wish they wouldn't say to test takers "You should be able to do it in 75 questions." Or, "If you get more than 75 questions, that's a bad sign." It's not so don't worry about having 125 questions.

Also, priority and delegation questions are the higher level questions, if you got a lot of those, that's a very good sign.

Don't be too hard on yourself. From what I understand, EVERYONE (or it seems like 99% of people) feels like they failed the test, or that they should have studied more. I don't remember too many posts from the people here saying that they feel like they aced the test.

I'm hoping for the best for you!! :)

My test sounded just like yours although I got 220+ questions. so my priority seemed less and less as it went on and I know almost with 99% certainty that I got the last question wrong and I passed!!!!!

be encouraged!

I also took my NCLEX today and am so totally sick/I don't know whether to sit or stand if you know what I mean. I had 265 questions. I had alot of priority questions and infectious precautions, along with numerous questions about holding staff conferences and what needs to be covered in the meeting. I felt so DUMB-everyone left before I did, I was the only one in the testing center-I was there for 4 1/2 hrs!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooooooooooooStressed out. Has anyone gotten the 265 questions and passed? I don't remember what the last question asked or if I even got it right.

OMG!!!!! I felt so stupid after I left my exam. My exam was at 9am and I left at around 11. I had between 190-200 questions. Mostly on infection control, maternal, and psyh. I am so darn depressed. I don't know what to think now. I know I answered atleast one question right. I had 2 Pitocin calculation questions. Oh boy, this is going to be a long 48hrs.

This is really scaring me-no one has replied that has gotten 265 questions. Is this a bad sign?

Hi, I also took my boards today. I am soooo nervous as well. I think it is the unknown that makes us feel so uncertain. :lol2:

Yeah, I couldn't believe the infectious disease questions. No one made reference to that section of material in my review course. Oh well. We all did our best. I can't wait to find out. Thankfully I get to go out of town today and be somewhat distracted...Hang in there....We'll all know soon enough.
