  1. OMG!!!!! I felt so stupid after I left my exam. My exam was at 9am and I left at around 11. I had between 190-200 questions. Mostly on infection control, maternal, and psyh. I am so darn depressed. I don't know what to think now. I know I answered atleast one question right. I had 2 Pitocin calculation questions. Oh boy, this is going to be a long 48hrs.
  2. I am so glad that you have another resource!!!!
  3. When I graduated from the LPN program, we took the PN comprehensive exam and my % for passing boards were in the high 90's. I did passed the NCLEX on the first try. I did practice exams with ATI, mainly the comprehensive, med-surg, and fudamentals. When I went to take my boards I was so shocked. ATI has the NCLEX down packed. I would suggest that to anyone. If you are given the ATI exams through your school, ask your instructor for the nonproctored numbers so you can practice the questions. I justed graduated from the ADN program and I am using the same study technique for the NCLEX-RN.
  4. I think everybody leaves the test thinking that they have failed. Don't worry about the number of questions you had because that doesn't matter. I pray that you passed. Remember, life goes on. Good luck and keep us posted.
  5. It takes 4-6 weeks for your criminal background check to be complete. The NCBON says that they will issue your license when that is complete but you will get a letter telling you if you passed. My 6 weeks will be up on the 15th of this month.
  6. I never thought that the wait would be so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took my test Sept.1 and I still have not got a letter or anything. North Carolina does not give the quick results. The BON usually sends a letter within about 5 days. (That's what I was told) I had 85 questions and like I said before, I only remember getting the very last one right . I can hardly sleep and I think my mailman is going to have me arrested for stalking :) . Well, I'm praying for the best. To all of you that are waiting, good luck.
  7. I have been asked that question so many times. I want to one day get my Master's in nursing but I'm taking it one step at a time. Nursing is just "nursing" no matter what title you have behind your name. I love being a nurse no matter what. So when people ask me "Why didn't you go for your RN?", I just tell them that someday I will. In my head I'm thinking, "Why, what difference does it make in your life?"
  8. I also took my NCLEX-PN last week in Greenvile on Sept. 1. I had 85 questions and I can't remember but one that I got right. That was the very last question about s/s of DKA. I hate that NC does not have the quick results because the wait is killing me. I know that a license number will not be issued to you until your criminal background check is cleared and that takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks. NC does send you a letter about a week after you have taken the test to let you know if you've passed or not. This holiday weekend has made the wait even worse. I'm ready to go to work and stop stalking the mailman! Good luck to you.
