After much waiting and worrying day after day, I finally got my acceptance letter for TNCC's Nursing program starting this fall!!! :) :) woot! woot! Any other acceptances out there?? I can't wait to meet you all at orientation and to get to know you all through our 2 year journey together! May 23rd can't get here soon enough now! ;D
Hi, when y'all say you have to score in the 45% percentile, do you mean in each category or overall for the entire test? I hate the TEAS test...but if they go by percentile I think I'll be OK.Thanks!
Overall you have to score ABOVE the 45th percentile but like one person said they scored above the 45th and still wasn't accepted
Orientation for Fall acceptees is tomorrow!!! Who all is gonna be there?
For those of you that recently went to your orientation, I'm curious about your schedule. What does TNCC's typical day program schedule look like, including your clinical days? Just trying to decide if TNCC might be another option for me?
We haven't gotten our complete schedules yet...but they gave us an idea and basically it is a 4 day a week schedule with the classes they said we will always have one day off whether it be a Tuesday, Thursday, or a Friday. Different classes will range from different times but from the example, will be as long as 2, 3, 4, and 6 hours, it just depending on that exact class.

Ok thanks for the info, this gives me a little more understanding about day program schedules. Unfortunately, they only accept 10-12 LPNs each year But, I may still apply and see what happens.
Your suggestion is highly appreciated .
I am a new grad . I recently passed my nclex. I have not worked before with patients except in my clinical rotations.
I was looking for a job everywhere . Meanwhile, I found a recruiting company . They want to hire me as a agency nurse .
Since, I am a new grad is it suitable to work as agency nurse just by getting 2 hours orientation in the hospital ?
I am sacred of liable issue ? Please give me some ideas what to do ?
Thank you very much in advance.

Heather and DomJo....I had to apply twice to TNCC before I got in. I know I did not get in the first time because of my TEAS score. Although it was over the 45th percentile, it could have been much higher. I am NOT a good test taker when it comes to those types of tests and I knew I would pay the price for that. The second time I took it I was in the 68th percentile. That was only a couple higher than the first. What saved me (I think) is my GPA which is 3.7. So, I would say that if you don't do as great as you like on the TEAS don't get discouraged, just keep your GPA high. It may take you twice like me to get but it will be worth it in the long run if nursing is what you really want to do. :-)
