  1. I hope you all are enjoying your summer. Get ready for a rigorous semester as you get ajusted to how nursing tests are. I was the guy that spoke at the August 4th Boot Camp with the other 2 second level students. I provided you with my email. Let me know if I can help with anything or any questions you may have.
  2. Hello Tiffany20, Great questions thus far? You sound just as anxious as I was. First off, schedules may vary from year to year but if they do the same thing as last fall my schedule was like this. NUR 100- Online *first 8 weeks only* NUR 117- 12:00-2:00pm (Mon) *second eight weeks* NUR 104- 8:00-10:50am (Mon/Wed) NUR 105- 8:00-2:00pm (Thur) NUR 135- 12:00-2:00pm (Wed) As far as what you can get started on, to have a jump start on everyone else at orientation, I would make sure all your immunizations are up to date. The ones TNCC Nursing Program requires are:(I went to the Hampton Health Dept. and got many of these for free or no more than $5.00) Hepatitis B (3 shots or you can sign a waiver) MMR tDap Varicella (having chicken pox previously will not count as immunized) Flu Tuberculosis/PPD I hope this helps some. See you at orientation as I will be speaking there!!
  3. Congratulations on your acceptance. I recently completed my first year at Thomas Nelson's nursing program. Get ready for a tough, yet insightful time.
  4. You didn't happen to get run over by a grandma did you?
  5. This is what happens when you don't let Rudolph join your reindeer games.
  6. I'm in my first semester of Nursing School and I don't know if anyone is as excited as I am, but we just registered for our second semester calsses (Spring 2014) this past Monday. I'll be starting off with Mother/Baby (5 weeks), then Psych (5 weeks), and Med Surg. (5 weeks). It will be hectic but I look forward to the challenge and opportunity for growth.
  7. I"m in my first semester of Nursing School, I agree with the previous poster as well as others in this thread. Even without a verbal warning, these policies and procedures are usually outlined in your program's orientation packet and/or the course syllabus. I would even go so far as to say your college has the right to do this even if you arent in the nursing program. The school I attend has the right to withdraw you from a class if you miss X number of days without notice. I wish I could cut you some slack; however, one of the things about starting nursing school is making sure all your bases are covered for instances mentioned above.
  8. Hey, I just started at TNCC's RN program 3 weeks ago at the Hampton Campus. Since you say their app window just opened I assume you applying to the Williamsburg campus. I hope all goes well for you and study for your TEAS test!!:)
  9. We have 4 out of 60! ADN Program
  10. Who all is ready to start tomorrow?!?!?!
  11. No, I didn't get to make it unfortunately.
  12. Just a heads up to everyone else that was accepted. I checked my schedule today and it was changed without anyone notifying me. It doesn't pose an inconvenience to me but it's different from what is was a month ago.
  13. From what I was told they look at your "Percentile Rank - Program"
  14. I got a response from the lady that is supposed to host it. She told me there is no additional info. But we still haven't been provided a room # or anything.
  15. Yes, they schedule your TEAS the moment you turn in your application, so it's hard to say. Like above, mine was about 3 days from submitting my app.
