  5. Thank you so much for your comments. I think I am doing good day by day.The way I am getting respond from my manger is making me feel like I am not going to be a good nurse on the floor. I am working very hard on my part..I had a feeling like they will kick me out from the job although they havenot said anything like that..( may be I am being too paranoid (()))))))))
  6. Hello everyone, I am a new grad and I am on orientation .This is my 12th running. So far, After 6-7 weeks,I have done almost everything myself in my shift ( from taking report , assessment, meds, charting, calling MD for abnormal values etc.So far , I haven't encounter any life-threatening emergencies on the unit )If i have any questions , don't feel confidence doing things, i always get preceptor and clarify before I proceed .We (me and my preceptor) had couple of meeting with with my nurse manager separately .The way I am getting feedback from my manger is completely different and I was very surprised. It looks like my preceptor had not give them true feedback to them. After 7 weeks, she never watched me doing anything unless I approach her and asked for help. she comes to the work and sits in nursing station for whole shift and go home.I know I still have many more things to learn but the way I am getting reports is making me down and I have feeling that I will never be a good nurse. My manager keep saying," according to you preceptor, you need some more time before you act on you own." But I don't think I need extra time now if my preceptor is not teaching me anything ..I feel very disappoint ..I wish my manger know all these things about my preceptor ...Can someone please help me what should I do ????????? Please Please Please

  13. Hello there , I have recently started a new job . I am on 3rd week my orientation . My orientation is around 10 weeks.Due to some family reason, I must have to go my country at least for 3- 4 weeks . But I haven't talk to my manager yet because I am scared that it will be very inappropriate and have a fear of being fired from job. I am planning to talk to her after my orientation is over . Do you think its appropriate to discuss about the leave for 4 weeks after orientation. Please share your ideas. I must go to my country within next 2 months and in a same time I don't want to lose my job .

Her question is once she passed her NCLEX in USA , whether she will be RN or RN, BSN . Or if she need to take some classes to get her BSN .How is the process to apply in nursing school for those missing credits ? Can someone please explain the process so that I can explain it to her . Thank you all in advance.
