Tissue thief!

I am now considered a tissue thief! I go caught by one of the 1st grade teachers, and she was PISSED. I apologized and went to ask another teacher for tissues. I did tell my admin about the issue, and they just said **** it and just take it because I don't get supplies from students like they do and we should all share as much as we can. I might ask for a shipment of tissues, but usually the Kinder and 1st grade has a huge stockpile of good tissues and I usually take them... at the end of the day.

Just wanted to rant.

Its for their kids anyway, they should share!

People can be really possessive of their supplies. I remember posting last year about someone stealing MY tissues. I would come in in the morning and the box would be gone- always made me mad because I had bought them myself and was frustrating that people were taking them. This year I ordered my own and have that luxury, so won;t be an issue anymore. That being said, now that someone else is supplying them, I would have NO issue with someone taking them.

We have a supply closet in the office where tissue surplus ends up, that's where I get good tissues from.

I understand if they bought them themselves, I get it. But the kids supply them for the WHOLE CLASS and the WHOLE YEAR. And honestly, they never use it completely! I asked the Kinder and one of the 1st grade teachers and they told me it was cool. I don't need that many any way, but once cold and flu season hits? I might need more, but I won't take their whole supply.

Our entire office is technically ours, we are the ones who use our personal funds to buy everything. I would be willing to share, but a consistent pattern of theft would irritate me. I should ask to have every family donate supplies, like the teachers.

In all honestly, I tried to ask for donations, but I never get any donations for clinical supplies, mostly clothes.

I know it was wrong for me taking without asking, that's why I asked the teachers if it's fine and they said it was okay.
