I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
So I'm starting the process to get my RN license in California. I currently have my license in Oklahoma. I've seen so many posts about how long it takes, and would like to move to California the last week of January. I don't want to be stuck in California waiting on my RN license though.
Main questions are
1. Would it be worth it to wait until the first week of December and do the live scan while I'm in California, or do the hard copies within this next week and have them mailed?
2. I realize that the transcripts have to be "official and sealed". Does this mean if I chose to submit my application in person the first week of December that they will accept them if they are sealed, or do they need to be mailed from the college I went to?
3. Is it truly worth delivering everything in person approximately a month from now, or should I just mail everything within the next week?
4. Is there one piece of the application process that needs to be mailed before the others are sent?
Thank you guys so much for the help!
Hi everyone,
I am a licensed RN in Wisconsin and I just moved back to California at the end of October. I applied for CA RN endorsement at the end of August 2016, application was submitted online using Breeze August 22 and I mailed in all of the requested materials (passport photo, paper applitcation, etc) including hard card fingerprints. I am still waiting for my license. I have only received one piece of mail from the BON back in early October that said they have received my application for processing and I should mail in any items listed if I haven't already (I had already mailed everything in on the list). My check was cashed in September and my status on Breeze said "pending" for awhile but now that has disappeared and there is nothing there. I did the hard card fingerprints back in August because I was still in Wisconsin. Does anyone know if it would be worth it to do the Livescan fingerprints now that I am in California and still waiting for my license or should I just keep waiting? I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone from the BON. Would it speed up the process if I physically go to their office in Sacramento? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? I am feeling stuck and have no idea if my application is being processed or if I am missing something. Please help! Thanks :)
Just to give everyone an update: I received a letter in the mail from BRN stating to mail in a copy of my degree (from canada), licence, and copy of SSN card at around week 7, two weeks later I checked on Breeze and received my license number. Few days later I received my license in the mail around week 9 (They said about 10-12 weeks for International licenses). So happy I get to start working now. I have a job lined up in Southern California! Good luck everyone!
I am on my 27th week now waiting. Submitted everything 1st week of June. Beginning of September get mail that fingerprints won't work. Resubmitted fingerprints mid-September and have heard nothing since. In the meantime I was able to get endorsements in Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Alaska. And none took more than a month. California is ridiculous.

Ugh I feel you there. I submitted my fingerprints in sept and just now got a letter saying they were denied. Again, I have been waiting since SEPTEMBER just to hear my fingerprints got denied. It's very disheartening. And flying to california to do the livescan is just ridiculous and impractical for me and I'm assuming most people who don't live anywhere close. I'm just wondering if I should just give up.

hi renzlao! I just want to ask, how many days did you have to wait for the result after sending the copy of your social security to your analyst via email?
