Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Published

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Are you sure that's your license number? Because when I registered on Breeze it originally came up with a bunch of numbers and asking for verification

I verified on breeze with my name and it showed my name and temp number. I need to make a phone call to confirm, but am heading into work and will wait until Monday. Is the temporary or permanent license number supposed to be your actual RN license number in the state you're practicing now??? Hmmmmm.

Dang, this is so frustrating.

I mailed in my endorsement application in May of this year. My payment bank check was processed on the first week of June.

When I log into my Breeze account, it still states "No license information available" under the License/Registration Information box.

Anybody else here faced this kind of situation? At least I would think somebody would update my profile and mention that at least my payment was received.

The last time I called the CA BON was on August 4th. The lady whom I spoke to (after almost 10 attempts of calling the BON!) told me that they have yet to look at my endorsement application.

*shakes head*

I JUST RECEIVED MY TEMPORARY LICENSE NUMBER!

It only took 22 days from the day I hand turned it in On July 23rd! :woot: I am acutally very stunned right now omg....

..

Wow! Dang, I should have just paid $500 for a round-trip plane ticket to Sacramento and "hand" delivered my application.

Unfortunately, my state does not have Live Scan or the Nursys verification system, ....stuck up the crerek. =(

I am still waiting for at least some kind of update to occur/happen in my Breeze account. My payment check was processed the first week of June. However, there is still no information under the license/registration information.

Just got my RN license today!!!!!!

Temporary came in August 7th, but couldn't work until I had my permanent.

God is good! It's been a long grueling process, but be patient everyone! Sent in my application May 28th, and with all the waiting, August 17th is the end to my endorsement.

I would advise you wait as I have been since May. They tell me they have not started on the initial evaluation when my date on breeze is 06/09/15.

Specializes in Med/tele, Ortho/surgical, transplant.

Just checked my license status and now it just says "open" and no longer has the "missing education history." I wonder how much longer it'll be until I get my license. I plan on calling BRN soon to get an update.

Mine says the same thing, as of about a week ago. Have you been able to get a hold of the BRN?

Is this for a new application or an endorsement from another state?

My travel company sent me an overnight box package with detailed instructions to help expedite the process. I was sent the CA nursing application and the Live Scan instructions. I live in Alabama and there is a Live Scan process for out of state residents. I had to get 2 fingerprint cards done at the police station. Since I already had the cards it was $10 total. Then there is a Live Scan form that you fill out, the info you need is on the CA board of nursing's website. You send 3 copies of that to the Live Scan address along with the fingerprint cards, I believe a copy of your license and payment in a overnight box. Since my travel company set it up they included a letter for them to be billed the $100 fee. I also included a self addressed envelope for Live Scan to send me confirmation back. In about 2 days I received 2 confirmation slips, one for my records and one to send along to the board of nursing. I overnighted the Live Scan confirmation, my Ca nur app and a money order for $150 for the temp and permanent license on Aug 13. Alabama only does online verification request so I didn't mail them the license verification slip I just requested it online and I emailed my university the transcript request form and paid over the phone. I registered for Breezez to check my status and it said submitted on 8/18. For a couple of weeks it said missing education history. Being paranoid after reading this forum I contacted my school and verified they sent my transcript the week after 8/13. I also called the Ca board of nursing on 8/31 to ask if I needed to resend my transcript. He assured me that I didn't at that message about missing education history is a default statement in the system. If they need anything that you are missing I was told a letter would be sent in the mail. I checked today 9/1 and now my status just says open. from what I've read it's not long before the license is issued after that. So I'll keep everyone posted. Also I took a prereq at another school that I forgot about and didn't send the transcript from there. Just the one from the university I graduated from and took all my other classes at. Hope this helps.

I'll be driving from Alabama to Palm Springs CA in the next couple of weeks to start my travel assignment. Does anyone know some good trip planning sites? I plan to do a 3 day drive but I'm not sure how to plan my stops. Also there are 2 different routes I-10 and I-40. Is one better than the other?

I am still waiting for my endorsement to be approved.. Mailed everything in May and it has been showing open since early August. When I spoke to the lady in BON she said my finger print cards went through but she can't tell about anything else until the initial evaluation is done. She says they are working according to 90 day mark on breeze. It is unbelievable what you have to go through to get to the golden state !!!!:banghead:
