Did you call the BRN to ask what was delaying your application? A cashed check does not really mean that your application is complete.

The CA BRN is unique that way. They do not have any problems cashing your check first before doing any work on your license.

yeah, the delay is that they were flooded with apps from april 2-may 2, so they are even more behind

Hello, I sent in a check so I could track cashing date. I just wrote on a sheet of paper that I was requesting a temporary license and included all my personal info. Took about 2 weeks for my check to cash.

Sent my application and paper fingerprint cards-April 22nd.

Submission date on Breeze-May 8th

Called and called, applied for a temp license, received it only to find out the hospital really couldn't accept that after I was told they could, found out my transcripts were los, resent transcripts...

My dream job start date August 3rd contingent on my permanent RN license, which I received July 27th!!!!! So glad that's over, until renew time, which I heard is just as crazy, so start early!! Good luck!!

Renewal is far from crazy. I just renewed CA last month, it was online and a cinch. Got my new expiration date immediately and my new registration card about a week or two later.

Sent from my iPad using allnurses

Hi guys I would just like to share my current Florida to California endorsement journey!

July 15th - Sent my transcripts from 2 schools electronically to BRN

July 22nd - Flew into San Francisco. Did my LiveScan at a local UPS and verified my license on NURSYS website

July 23rd - Drove to Sacramento and hand turned in a typed application with $150 personal check (Temp&Permanent) and (just in case) provided copies of my sealed transcripts inside along with having both schools sent them to BRN electronically. Provided passport photo on application. The lady at the front desk told me they were still processing applications from May and to call 4 weeks after my check was cashed.

July 27th - My personal check is cashed

July 28th - First time logging onto BREEZE and noticied that my submission date says 7/24/15, Status: Pending Open/RN Endorsement and with Deficiencies: Missing Education history. And the top right saying "No License Information Available" IS THIS NORMAL FOR EVERYONE? I just wanted to make sure it wasn't supposed to say pending or open in that spot?????? Please someone calm my fears!

August 3rd - My status still says the same thing. So the waiting game has begun!

Yes. I believe that area that says "No license information available" just means you don't have a California license number yet.

My status on breeze has changed from "missing education history" to "open" and nothing else. Does this mean anything significant?

Yeah your application is finally put together

I would personally call the BRN, if I were you, to clarify this status message on Breeze. Clarifying this would help you know what is missing in your application and allow you to work on it while waiting. I think it means that they are missing your transcripts or anything related to your education. If you already sent your transcripts or everything they needed, then the status should change after they have received it. Since your application is considered incomplete, there will be no available license info.

Did you have to call to follow up on the "missing education history" before it changed to "open"? Mine currently says "missing education history", and I called both universities I attended to confirm that they sent my transcripts. It's still too early for me to call the BRN since it's only been three weeks since I turned everything in.
