Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Congrats perfexion, I know you've been waiting a while. So you didn't get a letter stating that you were missing the requirement? I got such a letter when I was applying 2 years ago, did not realize I had to send them other transcripts besides the nursing school one. That solved the issue, they wanted to see the same thing, which I had completed in my other degree. How frustrating but now it's over.

Paco, I never received any correspondence from them other than what I requested.

They claimed they sent my nursing school a letter about the class and I requested a copy of the letter back in January. That's just about it. But I probably could've gotten my permanent license a lot sooner if I had kept calling them.

They never issued a temp license to me, when I called the last time the guy on the phone was perplexed as to why they had not issued a temp license to me so he said he was forwarding my file to a supervisor and within two days my permanent license was posted on Breeze. However they did not notify me that it was posted the only way I knew was because Datmurse added the directions update profile->Add license.

Hi nurses! I just followed Datmex advice to do update profile>add license and it my account shows up a pending status with "missing education history". Does this mean, they're currently reviewing my transdcrips or they haven't got hold of it yet? My courier tracking shows, it was delivered to them last March 19. I have to call them first thing in the morning. And can anyone please advise me of the best approach on this. Thanks!

btw, I also applied for a temp license but it's not showing up.

Just an update and venting frustrations:

Timeline

February 27 - Date USPS says my application was delivered

March 12 - Date Breeze system shows my application "submitted"

March 19 - Attempting to call CA BON to check status, automated response thing disconnects me instead of letting me hold

March 23 - Attempt calling the board. Again auto disconnects when saying to hold

March 24 - Call 10 times. Get passed the auto thing once and make it to being on hold. Someone picks up and it immediately disconnects

March 26 - Successfully speak to a human! States they are working on January applications and to try calling back in 4 weeks.

April 9 - Make several calls to BON, auto disconnects

April 10 - Make several calls, speak to a human! "We are currently working on February applications, you application is considered March, please wait 4 - 6 weeks"

(Panic mode ensues, lease ending on apartment, travel agency has a job lined up for me but can't submit me without a license)

April 22 - Call BON, speak to woman who tells me transcripts on file, finger printing done, Nursys done, states she is going to see the status of issuing me a temporary license is, places me on hold incorrectly and phone starts to ring, some guy picks up. Explain I was on hold while status of temp license is being checked. Tells me he doesn't know anything about that. Give him all of my information again. States that they have not started on my application, they have not keyed in any of my information into their system, they have no transcripts on file. Explain to him that this is impossible as the previous person commented on the University I graduated from. States he doesn't know how she could've done that. States he is the supervisor and that my application has not been started at all so there's no way anyone could've been looking at my temp license status. I angrily hang up on him.

I shouldn't have gotten so heated with the guy, but he was so certain that there was no way I spoke to anyone before him who said those things to me. So here I am indefinitely pending...

the temp will not show up until they officially issue it.

Could someone tell that the permanent CA RN license valid date? It is valid from the issue date to 2yrs later OR the expiration date is related to the outstate license expiration date? I would transfer my new york license to CA. MY new york license is gonna expired the end of August. I have concern that my current NY state licence will expire before I get the new CA licence.

Hi everyone. I wanted to share my experience coming from Hawaii to California.

I started the process on Nov 13 2014 and did not receive my permanent license until February 2015.

I DID get my temporary license January 21, 2015 after driving up to Sacramento (on the 20th) and visiting the office personally.

*Do not go the day after a holiday... most staff will call in sick or be no-shows.

My permanent license expires on November 20 2016.

If you need a temporary license the best bet (if all your paperwork is squared away) is to drive up there and visit the office.

The woman who works the front is very nice and understanding, but remember she is overloaded by individuals who show up

with missing paperwork etc. Follow instructions and be respectful and she will do what it takes to help you out.

Most facilities are changing their policy to accept the temporary license as it is a VALID license and should be honored while

your permanent is working to be finalized.

Good luck to everyone. I stressed out with not having a job for about a month and a half due to California's lack of organization.

I am confused. I applied for a CA RN license by endorsement on March 25th 2015. Prior to sending in the application, I had my livescan and all my transcripts sent in to the board. I recieved a confirmation of email address on April 12 and my check was cashed April 9th 2015. I have been going in daily to check on Breeze website and all it said was no licence info available. Well, today I went on to the site and "added a license" and put in info requested-what came up was a 7 digit num where it says Individual/Org num, my full name and board applied for- Registered Nurse. Could this be my license num?. If so this would have been the fastest turnaround for a CA license in a long time. I applied for both a temp and perm. I called the BON but we all know how that goes-we are experiencing high vol call etc. I dont want to get too excited but could this be my temp license num. Thanks for all your reply.

I was finally able to speak to a live human at BON who told me the num means nothing, its not a temp license num however, coincidentally in the evening I went to Breeze website and finally there is an update-date application opened 4/9/2015 which the person I spoke to said they are working on March so give it 6-8wks for credentials to be evaluated. It also said missing educational history but she said it will say that until they look at the transcripts etc. I was getting excited thinking I had a temp license but thats not the case.

Hi!

Has anyone whose status on Breeze changed from "Missing Education History" to "Open" or "Pending" receive their license?

Here's my timeline:

3/17/15 Mailed out my app, Nursys, livescan and transcripts

4/3/15 Submission date on Breeze

4/6/15 Check cashed

5/5/15 Breeze status "Missing Education History" with "Transcript in suspense 4/8/15" under Notes

5/5/15 (later that same day) Breeze status went to "Pending" with the deficiency and notes getting cleared

I'm a bit nervous, especially bc I have transcripts from two schools, and only one school was listed under "Notes" section before they deleted it altogether. I'm not sure if they are missing my transcript from my other school. This waiting game is quite nerve-wrecking!

When I spoke to to someone at the BON yesterday she said they list things there until they are evaluated then when they are evaluated-it disappears so maybe they are looking at your transcripts now.
