I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

How do you check for an application status on Breeze? I signed up (provided requested info - name, DOB and last 4 digits of SS#), but all it states is "no license information." Is there a method for checking on application status?

You can sign up on Breeze with that information plus your Application number (you might have to leave off the first digit of that number), but, as you said, it might not do much good to do so if the status on Breeze is unreliable anyways. No news here, still waiting. Applied the beginning of July, so still some time to wait I guess. This would be so much easier if we could at least work with our other State licenses while they are processing our transfer, so we are not out of a job for months.

Hi everyone :) I am getting ready to apply for endorsement and want to make sure I do it the most effective way if possible. I don't live in California but live scan is done at the police stations here, so that is my plan. My sister says she can turn in anything I need to the board because she lives in Sacramento. My question is what should I have her bring? Is it better to do a money order instead of check? I will have everything sent to her on Monday and she should have it soon after maybe Wednesday. I know everyone isn't getting their license quickly but how long does it take for a temporary license? Thanks everyone I know that was a bunch of questions.

You can only do a livescan in CA. They wont accept anything else. Or you can use the fingerprint cards-get it done in your state and send it to them. The consensus now is to forego getting the temp because its taking so long to process the license the only license you will get is the permanent. I am thinking a check would be better -this way you can see when it is cashed and most nurses here use the check cashing date as the beginning of the processing of their licenses. Hopefully, you have already sent in your transcripts and verification of license. That will get the ball rolling.

Hey guys! I finally received my license last Friday. It took nearly 90 days for me. My other 2 friends took around 10 weeks. If you don't receive a letter stating your missing anything then you should be good and just have to wait. My check was cashed may 2nd. My two friends checks were cashed mid may. Goodluck!!!

When did you send your application and do you know how long it took them to cash your check/money order? I sent my app for endorsement , money order and fingerprint cards a little over two weeks ago and the money order hasn't even been cashed :(

I sent in my CA endorsement application (application, check, and fingerprint card) on July 16. My state participates in the nursys system for verification, so I was able to do that online. I also requested my transcripts to be sent on July 14. My check was cashed on August 11, so it took roughly 3 weeks and 5 days. I have tried to call the BON numerous times, but have not been able to get through. I am "hoping" that I can get my license in October.

Thx for the info, I'm hoping to have my by at the latest November. Kup, I'll do the same ;)

Go with a check, that way you know when it was cashed and if you can view the cashed check online on your bank's website then you might be able to see your application number. Mine was handwritten on the check. My check took app. 4 weeks to get cashed, and according to the board it can take another 2+ weeks after that before they actually start working on your application.

Has anyone who has applied in July heard anything yet?

My check is not showing up as cashed yet despite the BRN telling me last Thursday that it had been deposited, I've checked my bank account online and by phoning my bank. I sent out my application on July 15th.

However, my application status is now visible on Breeze as "pending" with a submission date of 8/20/14. So it seems that they have at least put my application in their queue for processing (if this info is accurate). I'm ignoring the "Missing Education History" under the deficiencies tab per the advice of the BRN (upon my previous phone call).

Keeping fingers and toes crossed!

No, still waiting.

I contacted my school to get transcripts and was told that the easiest way to get my transcripts is to do it online-there is a website called "getmytranscript" I would supply the info and pay a fee and they will send it to the school, BON etc. I told her that I had a "request of transcript form" and she said its not needed as long as they have the address to where its being sent. Has anybody use the "getmy transcript" website to send their transcript to CA BON ?
