I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
@littleweasel Hey is there an evaluator's name on the mail? You can email them using the format: [email protected]
I emailed my evaluator regarding my situation and received my license # about 12 hours later.
Hope this helps!
I also paid for a temp license and never got one. I had just under 3 months of waiting for my license to be issued though.
I am thinking it would be nice if BON do away with the temp fee. For all those people who recently applied for temp as well as perm license-no one have reported getting a temp license.
Hey guys! I finally received my license last Friday. It took nearly 90 days for me. My other 2 friends took around 10 weeks. If you don't receive a letter stating your missing anything then you should be good and just have to wait. My check was cashed may 2nd. My two friends checks were cashed mid may. Goodluck!!!
Hi everybody, chiming in here as well. I too am waiting for my CA license via endorsement. Check cashed on 08/01/14. On Breeze, my status states "pending, educational hx missing", so I called since my transcripts were sent out the beginning of July. I was told that it can take app. 2 weeks after the check clears for an employee to actually start working on the application, and that the "pending, educational history missing" status on Breeze is a "default status" that automatically pops up and does not mean anything.. Not feeling very reassured or happy with this answer
How do you check for an application status on Breeze? I signed up (provided requested info - name, DOB and last 4 digits of SS#), but all it states is "no license information." Is there a method for checking on application status? I sent my application out around July 15th, check hasn't been cashed yet. Did fingerprinting via Livescan.
I spoke via phone with a very polite and informative representative this morning, she reports that my check has been deposited and that it should be cleared soon. According to her as of present time, the processing time from cashed check to endorsement is roughly 7-8weeks, but they can only formally guarantee 90 days. She says that they are still working on May and June applications. Interesting note is that the Breeze application status updates are "not accurate" and should not be used to determine pending application status or deficiencies per our conversation. I am somewhat relieved as my application is at least in the beginning stages of being processed!
Will keep my fingers crossed!
Hi! Just wanted to give my experience since it went a lot quicker than most of yours!
I am from AZ actually relocating to Sacramento so I went and did live scan on 6/26 and physically handed in my paperwork and check to the BON, check was cashed on 7/1. I had sent the nurse verification the week of 6/26 and had sent my transcripts over in the beginning of June.
My license was issued august 12, so a little over 6 weeks from the check being cashed. The funny thing is I had called to check on the status that morning and the BON said that they were still working on apps from the beginning of June!
so hang in there you may get a nice early surprise like I did!! I had a job offer supposed to be starting the end of September and was stressing like crazy about this!

4 months later and i'm still waiting. original app was received by the CA BON on 3/28/14. check was cashed on 4/28/14. received a letter from the BON on 6/2/14 that my fingerprint card was "rejected" by the FBI for "poor fingerprint quality" and that they need me to submit a new fingerprint card. new fingerprint card was received by the BON on 6/16/14. today, the breeze site is useless and still says, "No License Information Available"
i've tried to call the main BON number numerous times and was never able to get through (either a busy signal or on hold forever before getting dropped). today i called 800-838-6828 and a very nice rep told me that the FBI did clear me on 07/16/14 and that they have my transcripts and license verifications on file. she said my CA license is "pending" (pretty sure this means someone has to hit a button that says "active") and that a temp license has not been issued (despite my request). supposedly, she is sending a message to the reviewer to expedite my case since i've been waiting so long. unfortunately, she was not able to give me the reviewer's direct line, but i'm supposed to call back in 10 business days if i still haven't heard anything.
waiting 4 months is ridiculous, but what's really annoying is i paid for a temporary license, yet was never issued one. seriously?! i want my money back. so glad i live in CO and don't have to deal with the BS CA bureaucracy on a daily basis.
