i dont know if this is true..i did not care with my time since i know i have a lot when i took my first take..and was actually slow taking all the time i need to make sure i understood the question and analyzed it as hard as i can as well as the choices before choosing an answer...yet i failed. my mom and i were thinking if that had affected my results at all since nursing is critical thinking yet you need to be quick also like how you should prioritize and think of what to do in times of emergency. is it really adviseable to trust your first instict instead of being too cautious causing you to spend more time with one item? does time counts at all? pls advise...thank you.

It makes no difference as to the length of time in writing the exam or the time spent on each question. That does not influence anything.

I agree. The time you spend with each question doesn't matter. I actually took 4 hours to finish 120-130 questions, and I passed.

im not sure but maybe just maybe you look into the questions and over analyzed the questions.
In this exam, always go for your first instinct and do not try to read anything the questions.
Same thing when caring for an actual patient, your gut instinct should always kick in.
thanks so much...ill keep that in mind..^_^

As long as you meet the minimum number of questions, I would not be concerned with length of time spent on each question. It is to your advantage if the time you spend considering the question leads you to the correct answer. Good luck.

I was thinking the same thing. I am a fast test taker (which can be bad too) but I noticed when I take longer to answer I read into the question too much.

I spent 45 minutes taking 75 questions so I most definately didn't spend a lot of time on each question. They were pretty straightforward, I thought. Two answers could be eliminated first thing and the other two always had one that *seemed* more correct. I agree...go with your gut feeling!!

I believe in you guys that you need to trust your gut feeling.... i learned from my experience.... when i take longer to answer I read the question too much... I will use this strategy on my next attempt...ta!!!

It took me a little over 1/2 hour.
DO NOT OVERTHINK. People "think" themselves right out of the right answer.

take your time, and you'll be fine.
