Hey everyone! I received a call from Aureus Medical the other day regarding a travel job but wanted to get some opinions before I agree to anything. Anyone have experience with this company-good or bad?? Thanks!

I have done two assignments with Aureus and I am about to submit for my third. I would like to stay with Aureus, but I am still decided on a position to go for. I have had a great experience with them. Any pay issues (very few) have been taken care of quickly, issues at the hospital (being totally dumped on) were taken care of promptly and my recruiter is always available or gets back promptly. It is all about your recruiter. If you want names you can PM me. I hope this helps!

I know pantravelers has them on the "Wall of Shame" for trying to sue a former employee.

I am and always will be very leery of anyone that recommends a company/recruiter from any company...

Be leery but don't be stupid. This industry is driven by word-of-mouth.
It's all about the networking...
I willingly share contract information with other travelers I meet. Discuss companies, recruiters, and wages/compensation. You would prefer to just do the hit and miss routine?
I work hard and want paid for my efforts. I'm not that patient and my time on the job is worth every penny I can squeeze out of each and every contract.
There is nothing wrong with talking. Try to listen sometime and you just might make an extra buck or two.
No, my thoughts are there are too many people out for a "referral" bonus and do not care ...
If you want to do it the right way, tell the company to give the referral bonus to the person that is referred..

Another friend of mine currently uses them and he really likes his recruiter. However, I was offerd a job from them in western NC recently and the pay was significantly lower than the company I chose to go with. I think you just need to do some research and find out what is important to you. Location vs. Pay? In the end the relationship with your recruiter is what counts.

Money is important, Location is important.....but I have to agree my experience with my recruiter is what really mattered!! You leave your friends & family, your out of your comfort zone with no one to run to when your just having one of those days....it's your recruiter that is going to be the one you call and vent too!! I would 100% listen to others experiences and why they like or don't like whatever agency they are working for! I have an amazing relationship with my recruiter but that doesn't mean she would be the right fit for someone else....... Yes I might make $ by referring a colleague over to her, but this is a world built on referrals! We all travel to make money, so why wouldn't we take advantage of the opportunity to make more $$ by referring someone over to someone we trust!

I've been with Aureus for several assignments. Never had a problem. Pay is always deposited, recruiter always helpful.have done assignments with others but Aureus is who I always go back to. FYI the Wall of Shame comment concerned me at ne time, also but that was a situation where an individual took the same ppoition in the same facility with a different agency and that is clearly spelled out in the contract as something you agree to NOT do. I can't say I have ever referred anyone to Aureus but it works great for me.
