The first one was more of a quick but very good review of everything imaginable and quizzes at the end of every second and then four 75questioned timed tests. The second one is very very in depth with extensive quizzes. I would overall recommend the second one a bit more than the first just because of how in depth it is. If you just read all of that information and take all the quizzes it's a done deal, you'll pass! The other huge thing is this book: Prioritization, Delegation, Assignment by Linda A. LaCharity, Candice K. Kumagai, and Barbara Bartz. That book is a lifesaver and an aboslute must to get. I failed the nclex the first time I took it because I had no idea how much of the test was goign to be on prioritization and delegation. I would say 75-80% of the test is questions that were similar to the ones in this book. It was truly my lifesaver! I would reccomend doing as many questions as possible. When they say do 1000-2000 questions that is for real. I didn't barely do any the first time and I failed it, and this time I did aprox. 1500 and I passed! when prioritizing who is the most important patient to be seen remember this: 1.ABC 2. Change in LOC 3. Change in VS 4. Unstable metabolic disorders (hypo/hyper glycemia, electrolyte shift) 5. Pain 6. Any treatments you need to perform 7. Family requesting you to come/Discharge teaching

Iam taking the Nclex in about 3 weeks, I have been doing the NCSBN website questions and also took a review class from Drexel that was offered through my school, it alos has a Q and A bank that I have been doing. I am reading the prioritization book. Did you complete the whole program through NCSBN? I am hoping that if I review the Q and A banks through them and Drexel that I will be OK? I hear so much about Kaplan, sometimes I wonder if the NCSBN program is going to work? I just need reassurance, I am sooo nervous!:)

Congratulations to you.How is the NCSBN course administered;by video link or just reading?I am preparing for the NCLEX.So far I have completed the Kaplan questions of 180 questions but I only got 120 correct.I have been reading the Saunders 2008 review,Saunders strategies for success and Kaplan Strategies.I have not gone past chapter 3 in any of the books.I am getting frustrated and confused.I wanted to try Susan's plan but I do not have a testing date at the moment.
did you feel that the this book confused you at all? i got confused on a few problems here and there b/c school taught us this way and then the book tells us that way. i was just wondering how that affected you, and how this reflected your decisions to choose this./that answer on nclex. thanks.
Yea,I do get confused as what i have been taught in school and practiced in the clinical area ,does not go too well with some of the contents in the books.I have done 180 questions from Kaplan CD but i only got 120 right.Very sad and confused.
