This Is How To Pass The Nclex!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

AFTER FAILING THE NCLEX ONCE I HAVE NOW PASSED!!! LET ME TELL YOU HOW I DID IT...

Two websites were absolutely wonderful for me: rnquiz.com and a website from the NCSBN, http://www.learningext.com/products/rnreview/review.asp

The first one was more of a quick but very good review of everything imaginable and quizzes at the end of every second and then four 75questioned timed tests. The second one is very very in depth with extensive quizzes. I would overall recommend the second one a bit more than the first just because of how in depth it is. If you just read all of that information and take all the quizzes it's a done deal, you'll pass! The other huge thing is this book: Prioritization, Delegation, Assignment by Linda A. LaCharity, Candice K. Kumagai, and Barbara Bartz. That book is a lifesaver and an aboslute must to get. I failed the nclex the first time I took it because I had no idea how much of the test was goign to be on prioritization and delegation. I would say 75-80% of the test is questions that were similar to the ones in this book. It was truly my lifesaver! I would reccomend doing as many questions as possible. When they say do 1000-2000 questions that is for real. I didn't barely do any the first time and I failed it, and this time I did aprox. 1500 and I passed! when prioritizing who is the most important patient to be seen remember this: 1.ABC 2. Change in LOC 3. Change in VS 4. Unstable metabolic disorders (hypo/hyper glycemia, electrolyte shift) 5. Pain 6. Any treatments you need to perform 7. Family requesting you to come/Discharge teaching

That is a must know and what helped me significantly! No worries you can do this if you just believe believe believe. Unwavering faith, let no thoughts of limitations enter your mind. You are an RN! If you need anything more just please let me know, I'd be more than happy to help you.

Hi..I just bought this La Charity book as well and am reading it. My exam is next week and I am finding that there are so differences also. I am getting kind of confused !?..Because some things are different than what I have been taught. So I am wondering about your post and hoping that someone does answer us about this. I have been doing Saunders Q & A ED. 3, and the Hurst review as well. :uhoh3:

I just receive my result today and unfortunately i failed. I used saunders q&a but when i took the exam i found it very different with the quetions from saunders. I am buying La charity book today.

Best wishes, Siegrid, on your retry.

I think the Hurst review online helped also. The charity book was okay. I know they also have an NCLEX review on nclex website for around 25 dollars. That was going to be my last choice, if all else didn't work.

caliotter3 thanks to you. i heard of this ncsbn learning extention and im planning to register to this online course coz i know it'll help a lot. well it's from ncsbn so i think the questions there are kind of similar to the actual nclex questions. gosh! i read saunders all my life but when the first question popped out from the computer screen, all my hopes went down coz it's really different. it's more on prioritization, delegation and some pharma.

Does that book work for someone taking the LPN Board exam?

I took a remediation course and it was combined of LPN/RN.. Im currently seeking my LPN. My intructor recommended me buying the book. I regret it because none of the questions apply to me. As an LPN the only person we would delegate a task to in a nursing assistant. Most of the questions were like " Which nurse would you delgate this task to." I dont recomment buying it. Just study saunders if you can

Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment book was it close to what an lpn has to do or more for Rn?

@SUGAR383 how long did u sign up for to complete the NCSBN, cause i signed up for the 3 weeks course and not sure if I would have time to complete all, also congrats and thanks for the motivation because I failed the first time also and hoping to pass the nclex rn the end of july
