Warning Long post ahead!!!!
O'k I took Nclex on April 2. I had 158 Questions with alot of high level ?. Well one person next to me computer got stuck at question 71 and the proctor came in to fix it, it was very distracting so I took a break. Came back and apparently the problem was solved, at least I thought. So today I check my BON to see if I have a license and yes I do I get all excited and call everyone to say I passed. Later I check the get you test results just so I can see the word Pass and it said pending. How can I have a License if my results are pending. Confused I go back to check License and Now it say UNDER REVIEW. So I call the BON and they tell me apparently the NCBSN has to validate every test from that test center on that day because When the test was being checked the second time they found major errors. Then He went on to explain that a PASS could be a FAIL, a Fail could be a Pass, or if the test is not valid We all may have to retest, but we would not have to pay. Also they have no time frame wen the matter will be resolved. So now Her I am sitting in LIMBO, I don't know what to do!!! I pray that I get results that say I pass and that it is a valid pass. I really don't want to have to take that test again when I did my best and this was not my fault!!! I feel like Crying. I am claiming my Pass in JEsus name, however, I am a bit frustrated. I am greatful that the error was caught and that there is a chance that if any of us did fail it could turn to a pass, but why would my name be under those with license if I failed?? Help !!!!!!! please!!!!
I guess better safe than sorry is the only real answer. If there is a chance that the test scores were off enough that some people that have no business practicing would get a passing grade then I would rather everyone retake the exam rather than let them into practice. Not fair to you, but fairer to the patients than letting an unqualified nurse take care of them. Hey, you got a practice look at NCLEX. I'm sure you will have no problem if you have to retake. It's just a shame they couldn't offer you a retake as soon as you want- that way you could get it over with while you are ready and start your practice.
