First off, I'm new to the site, but boy do I love being here!! Lots of things to read and think about!!
Here is one we came up with in our OR. It started out being a top 10 list, but quickly grew. Please add in your own!
Things you hate to hear your surgeon say.
1.That "sound" arterial!!
2. Sh*t!! Suction!!!
3. Uh.....Mike, who's following me this morning?
4. Call my office and cancel today.
5. (loud snaping sound) "You might want to get the cerclage cables for me."
6. ER's on the phone.............
You get the idea. Jump in. You OR nurses should be really good at this.
Hee,hee, hee, hee, hee! :rotfl: I would have loved to have seen that.
The worst all time sound in the ORSproingggggg!
And you know you are in trouble when your worst fear is that that sound was the elastic in the surgeon' spants letting go.
It happened - Male surgeon - female nurses
Surgeon ended up yelling "Will one of you lot stop laughing long enough to pick my pants up off the floor for me????"
Fran, that's too cute~!~One that I often say jokingly (as a nurse, though) Hey, can one of you climb between my legs and insert a foley for me? I haven't been able to pee in HOURS!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: I used to think that way too when I drove bus. There were times my bladder went into spasms from holding it back so long, and those babies hurt.
