The waiting is the hardest part!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

So I've applied to all my area nursing schools and I'm having the worst time being patient. April seems so far away. Some schools don't send acceptance letters until May! I thought that once school started this semester, it would get better because I would be occupied but not so much! Anyone else waiting? Any tips/advice?

Got my acceptance letter today!! :) Damn near pulled all my hair out waiting this week!!

Yes! So happy for you - congratulations!

For those that got acceptance letters already, how long did it take? Were any earlier than expected? We were told acceptance emails would get to us by the end of April (essentially one month after the last day to apply). But I keep checking every day to see if I get it early. And yes, I realize even if it does happen early, it won't happen this early. But I can't help it!

I got mine about two weeks earlier than expected. Hopefully, you'll have the same experience. I did the same thing though - checking my email several times a day, every day. Good luck to you!

Twitching is over - I've been accepted! So many vaccinations and boosters!!

Yay! Congratulations!

So happy and excited for all of you ! I too got accepted to the one program I applied to after an agonizing wait ! We were told we'd hear by mid March and it was damn near the end when we got our ( snail mail) letters. Cute story: my parents were under punishment of death if they looked at my letter before me ( I'm in my 40s but that was my address when I went there years ago and didn't bother to change it because I have a lousy mail carrier currently), but i guess my dad came in grinning ear to ear and showed my mom that the plastic window had shifted, showing Congratulations Dahlia on your acceptance.. So they both got to call me to tell me that the dreaded letter had FINALLY come and that I was in! Loved the pregnancy comparison, after feeling like I would die if I didn't get in, it's back to intense anxiety about actually handling it all, lol !

I got my acceptance email today! I've been checking every day but its only been a week and a half. I didn't expect to find out this soon. I just can't believe it. I almost didn't even take the Hesi entrance exam and apply because I thought I had no chance of getting in.

I'm so jealous! I have to wait until June 17th to find out! SO ANXIOUS! 73 days! [emoji31]

Congratulations! I can't wait, seriously. I hope to get mine at the end of this month. It's torture.

I'm so jealous too! I have to wait until after June 22nd to find out! That gives me 78 days! Aargh! I am working per diem for an agency as a nurse assistant. I still have way too much time on my hands. I am reading a book called Nursing Fundamentals Demystified and working on my medical dosage calculations to try and keep my mind busy. But feel like I will lose all my anatomy and physiology knowledge! I am so mentally hyper right now. I am even thinking about what kind of nursing I want to do and what kind of money I will make.:whistling: Now that's getting bad.
